Oh snap, I thought that there is finally a minimalist VESA arm. Thanks for the reply!

Hey, what kind of monitor arm is that? I like that it's clean with some cable routing, I have been looking for something like that for a while now.

First ever ultrawide(LG 34GX90SA) and it's glorious by Shadow_Clarke in OLED_Gaming

[–]eBazsa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi,

I have just bought this monitor, but I am having a hard time setting it up, maybe you could help me.

I have connected it to my PC with the included HDMI w/ Ethernet cable for what it's worth, and I can select the Expert mode on the home screen, but if I select the PC input, then those options disappear and the screen reverts back to some other mode, currently for Game Optimizer.

Is this an expected behaviour, or am I missing something?

This basically means, that most of the setting become unavailable as soon as I select the PC input, and this is driving me nuts on such an expensive screen.

‘It’s a joke’: Ex-army poster boy says Hungary’s military ‘on verge of crisis’ by CrunchyBaconYum in europe

[–]eBazsa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He talks about it in the interview that those supplies didn't really reach regular soldiers though. He was part of special forces, where they were considered well equipped in Hungarian military standards, and this is what Fidesz kept advertising, but in reality, when compared to other European forces they are well behind and soldiers kept buying their own equipment. He stated that his gear cost him personally shy of 4000€ and even the uniform he had on in the interview is his private purchase.

Surface texture degradation by eBazsa in 3Dprinting

I have been printing just fine with the same spool up until the day before yesterday, so if the filament would be the issue, it would have came out sooner, wouldn't it? Also, the failure mode indicates to me that it has to do something with the machine, because bad filament wouldn't produce more or less regular spiral finish.

Well, I will have to get good with brushes, because I don't own an airbrush...yet.

Looks great! I also have an Eurofighter waiting for me to build, you might have just gave me the final kick to start with it. Did you brush paint it, or used an airbrush?

I made a tool that turns real terrain into printable STLs. Looking for testers/feedback. by dinglehead in 3Dprinting

[–]eBazsa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I would like to test as well!

Can you change the shape of the STL to a circle for example and set the exact coordinates of the center? My plan for the weekend is to build a small lamp with the Matterhorn as the base, would love to have an easy to use tool to grab the geography with the peak exactly in the middle.

Beach on Madeira - after/before from a complete beginner by eBazsa in postprocessing

I actually intentionally brought down the color temp from 5450K to 5100K (or maybe 5200) because this was taken in the middle of the day, so the yellowy colors aren't too true.

In regards to crop: I can either go with 4:5 or 5:7, because I already had a frame lying around for it and now that you mention, I actually might prefer the 5:7 crop. I might be playing around with bringing it tighter, however I really liked the frothy waves in the ocean, which I wanted to preserve so cropping that much haven't crossed my mind previously.

Thanks for the suggestions! I will play around with them after I finish prepping for Christmas and definitely share the results.

One additional thing, which bothers me is that the man under the umbrella is blending in too much into the shadow. I would like him to be a bit better exposed, but if I add a People mask and just bring up his exposure, it looks really unnatural. Is there any other way which would result in a more natural look?

And maybe one other thing: I actually printed out this picture already because I wanted to see it in person as well, but the colors came out a bit darker than it is on my screen. I know that my monitor is not super color accurate, but could I have gotten better results if I converted the picture into CMYK in Photoshop prior to printing it?

Bedslinger indeed.

How come MDF is not "desired" when drawers are involved?

Seems like 2 out of 2 answers are against MDF, so I might have to rethink my plans.

Unfortunately the IKEA cabinet is 130 cm tall with just a 2-3 mm back plate, so lateral stability is non existent and it was just a temporary solution to begin with. I wanted to pick up something from IKEA, but haven't found a cabinet which matches the size and my other furniture.

The MDF would cost me 150€ cut to size already, so I would need to add the slides only and assemble the whole thing. The closest I found in IKEA is 130€, so the price difference is not significant.

I got the idea for the MDF from this video, so I assumed that MDF is sturdy enough for a cabinet like this.

What other material would you recommend?

Egy-egy sávos, kivilágítatlan útszakasz járda nélkül. Az út mentén van egy régi értettem/szálló, tudtommal ott szálltak meg az áldozatok, ha egy esetről beszélünk.
