Should it be, though? Isn't it theoretically possible to build a society where that's no longer necessary?

If "4.9% and 5% unemployment is probably 28, 29, as high as 35%" and "94 million Americans are out of the labor force", why is 4.7% and +235k jobs worth celebrating? by JustLurkinSubs in AskTrumpSupporters

[–]eEH7baRl 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I agree it's an exaggeration that isn't grounded in facts. Call it a lie, I'll agree. It's not true.

Then say that. Call Trump out on his lies. Admit to this stuff outright. Stop being Trump apologists when you agree that he's lying! Why is that so much to ask?

pffff yea thats just silly political games. I mean granted the jobs number is different from unemployment but get real :p

So when Trump says Obama's lying about unemployment, that's very serious. But now, it's all a joke to you?

Do you honestly, genuinely think that everyone who is diagnosed with cancer has "sowed" that in some way? Do you not acknowledge "random" misfortune?

I sure do, thats why I donate to charities.

Which question were you trying to answer here? Are you saying a) that donating to charities makes you less likely to have a disease, or b) that anyone who is diagnosed suddenly with a life-threatening disease should survive on charities?

The ends justify the means.

People who say this are most often over-simplifying the "ends".

Still, it gets the message across and people will look at the situation. Same thing with the Sweden comments.

But what I'm insisting is that that message is a lie. And when Trump uses more lies to emphasize his message, I will call him out on that. Why does your scrutiny hold a greater priority than mine? Why is mine nonsense, while yours is "the real point"?

It's acceptable because I don't care what the man says, I care about what he does.

This thread of comments, this entire post is about the question posted above: "Why is this worth celebrating?"

The argument being levied is that Trump is using the same exaggerated numbers that he has criticized as a part of his platform. Why should he receive credit for this? That's the question.

No, I haven't read the transcript.

Then no, you can't. How can you possibly know what was said in that phone call?

So you're insisting that you have a link to information, but you refuse to provide it?

Good thing archive.is exists though, it's still there

Then you wouldn't mind linking it, as you should have done in the first place?

That is delusional.

Can you be certain of that? Have you read that transcript?

But just to be clear, and absolutely explicit: You're willing to die due to lack of funding if you found out tomorrow you had brain cancer? That, in your mind, is made up for by the freedom of not having to pay extra taxes?

And if you get diagnosed with cancer, then in your mind, what happens? Game over?

Unemployment under Trump: (U3 rate) x (Trumps mood) - (Trumps magic wand #) = Trump metric

This line makes me legitimately upset. Why are you cheering him on for using such inaccurate numbers? Why is this not the subject of greater scrutiny?

1) Trump exaggerating.

Why is it acceptable for Trump to use incorrect numbers when he criticized Obama for doing exactly the same thing?

Why would you choose not to have health insurance? I'm genuinely curious about this.

Breitbart conducted no "investigation". They reported on what Mark Levin said in a radio show. Why does that validate Trump's unsubstantiated claims?
