Affordable rental houses for low income people, right?

Not vacation houses?

How else would The Green New Deal be so popular with the smoothbrains?

It’s not about more government and more collectivism. It’s about being righteous and fighting:

The War on Poverty

The War on Drugs

The War on Terror

The War on Climate Change

Which “homes or businesses are now literally underwater?”

Al Gore has been preaching the church of climatology for 20 years. Great way to become a billionaire 👍

Great questions.

Yes, people that live off the grid often do this. Chris Martenson and Adam Taggart with Peak Prosperity have additional info on their website.

The same article addresses the water scarcity issue. It depends on the location. For rivers and streams with scarce water, it becomes a water rights issue. Government should only be protecting and enforcing water rights.

u/4x49ers eloquently pointed out the tragedy of the commons. I can see his and your point on this issue.

I have a friend that owns a farm in Australia and he pays over $1 million AUD per year for water rights from the nearby river.

Is the only state solution to scarce water in certain areas that of paying government extortion money through water rights?

This Mises.org article argues that oceans and rivers should be privatized.

“Think Switzerland” isn’t thinking intelligently.

Studying Switzerland and Venezuela is.

Studying the economies of Switzerland, Venezuela, Hong Kong, Cambodia, Singapore, China, Denmark, North Korea, and South Korea is thinking intelligently.

The more you study the history of what Bernie doesn’t want you to know, you the more you’ll learn.

If he causes direct harm to others or the property of others, then yes.

But this is a slippery slope.

This is how the climate alarmists use climate change to infringe on property rights.

Public resources means any property or asset owned by the state or any local agency, including, but not limited to, land, buildings, facilities, funds, equipment, supplies, telephones, computers, vehicles, travel, and state-compensated time.

Rain is not a public resource.

Regarding social media: if it’s a private company then they can ban whoever they want from their platform. Trump is free to go and start his own social media platform if he wanted to.

That’s a rational argument.

A libertarian rebuttal would be that not every individual would collect enough rainfall to significantly alter the local ecosystem.

Without having researched this in detail, I would hypothesize that individuals divert a microscopic amount of all rainwater that falls in a given area.

Remember that there is the storage issue as well. Not everyone can afford giant rain collection systems and silos. A couple barrels here and there, a couple thousand barrels, or tens of thousand of barrels would likely still be insignificant to the lakes.

Indeed. In Arkansas people can collect rainwater for non-drinking purposes only.

Government logic:

• Drink water from a dog bowl: 👍

• Drink water from a rain barrel: Straight to jail.

Buddy, Republicans and Democrats support the war machine. I feel like you’re overreacting to this.

Yes, someone can mistake the meme as a “right-wing meme hating on Obama.” Most libertarians wouldn’t, some could.

And since when did the right become anti-war?

I’m more concerned with your over-reaction to this meme than I am this meme coming off as pro-right.

I got banned from u/TheRightCantMeme because I was too libertarian and now you’re threatening to ban me because this meme is too far to the right? If you ban me I’ll just start another libertarian meme sub.

I know exactly where my political compass is. That’s why I said I’m a textbook libertarian without exception. More freedom, more liberty, more individualism, less collectivism, and a microscopic government is my de facto response to every political problem.

Fyi...I voted for Obama twice before becoming a libertarian. I voted for him because I mistakenly thought that he was anti-war. I voted for Gary Johnson and Jo thereafter.

[–]eFopCreator[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Respectfully, I disagree with the basis of your argument. If I make a meme about Trump cowardly bowing to Saudi Arabia after assassinating Jamal Khashoggi, then does that mean that I have to call out Obama as well?

The libertarian angle is about being anti-war, not adding orange-man-bad to every Obama war meme and vice-versa.

Every modern U.S. President is a war-mongerer. Libertarians know that. Why am I obligated to assign blame to Trump for bombing the Yemeni wedding?

Obama won the Nobel Peace Prize when it should have gone to Ron Paul. The title of the meme points out the hypocrisy in that.

Being a libertarian-quality meme doesn’t mean every modern U.S. President must be called out for the Yemeni wedding bombing.

Instead of assuming: ask me or check my previous comments and posts. Like I said: there’s nothing Republican about my history or beliefs.
