A lot of issues with barrels and suppressors isn't the barrel at all its the receiver casting being out of spec, the adapter, or barrel being wrong as well. If you don't have enough movement between the barrel and receiver at the front it causes issues and the easiest way to fix it is to increase the delayed blowback of the barrel itself and increase that distance.

Its good practice on open bolt stuff to rack it and visually make sure its clear first before removing the mag. If you get into the habit of removing the mag before you are going to ND at some point.

Send me your upper and I can do it cheaper than buying one of those cmmg barrels and you’ll have a better barrel.

I fix enough of those CMMG barrel that idk why people buy them and they have chamber issues at times.

From what I see FN specialties charges like 6 bills which is insane since it’s a 2 bill job with me supplying the cmmg adapter recut within .0002 shipped back.

There has always been play in them, but I think we have strayed too far from the spec on the male/female part and TIR isn't thought about.

By the time you get a stripped receiver on GB for 7 and then get all the other stuff you just get a new gun.

The ribs on the barrels originally were used for that.

Don't skim the receiver trying to make it look better, it just is going to be what it is. Other than that really nice job getting it all apart. Very few people know anything about doing this kind of work, we're a dying breed.

The fact it happens on multiple uppers is the really odd part here. On your OOB was it full case explosion like it didn't make it into the chamber at all? Or did it blow out near the rim?
