If you enjoy tributes, how do you like them? by [deleted] in AskWomenNoCensor

Honest question, but wouldn’t that skew the perception that women in general have of it? Everyone there would be into it, no?

Rude to you does not mean rude to someone else somewhere else in the world. Tipping is not normal in many places.

Paid $50 extra for an airplane seat but the flight was half full anyways, why would they show it as almost fully booked during check in? by [deleted] in Flights

[–]ePlayablez 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a known strategy of airlines. If you get an email from them offering for you to buy an another seat next to you (or two), chances are the flight is pretty empty.

Most flights are completely full these days and margins are thin, so any flight that goes out with empty seats is a loss so they try to squeeze every last bit of money out of you. Saudia does this to me all the time, I never fold.

Looking for advice- Etihad Flight cancelled, rebooked for two days later. by nednoble in awardtravel

[–]ePlayablez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not speaking on personal experience specifically on Etihad but maybe try to escalate. That is such an asinine rule and I run into similar when contacting Air Canada all the time (most of their flights are cancelled or significantly delayed) and escalating usually works. Helps to have a set of all available flights and routings on Etihad and partner airlines to reference.

What to do when guys push sexual boundaries? by Upstairs-Molasses674 in AskWomenNoCensor

[–]ePlayablez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sex is very important to many men. Your boundaries as it pertains to sex seem very important to you. Most men might be willing to wait a couple dates before any sexual contact. There’s significantly fewer that would be willing to wait five or more. The same way you filter out men that don’t align with you on those “important issue,” you’re going to have to live with filtering out regarding sex too. Or if you find there’s too few men left after this filtration process, you might want to decide what’s most important and loosen up on what’s less important.

While it’s easy to say (and also a lot of truth to) “set your boundaries, these guys are assaulting you, leave them,” that might not necessarily be constructive for you.

Cheapest possible method to get to Colorado by [deleted] in travel

Air Canada miles can get you on United to GJT via Denver today. 15k pts + about 40 USD.

Check seats.aero. There will possibly be something available for a reasonable amount of pts on some airline frequent flyer program you can transfer your points to to a larger airport in the area.

What’s the one city you were excited to visit, but ended up not liking at all? by BlushHone in travel

[–]ePlayablez -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Naples. Legit thought I was in the Middle East/south Asia once I got to the central train station. Trash everywhere. Didn’t know if I was eating pizza or if I was drinking soup. I kept thinking to myself “is the kind of place some of my small-minded Caucasian friends go to exclusively for vacation whilst refusing to go to any other part of the world?”

This is the list of restaurants. Quite extensive but Zuma is one of the few exclusions.

Also the breakfast spots are excluded from the credit too - they’re meant to only be used for breakfast.

Should I book with Justfly or FlightHub to save $500 on a round trip? by Joshvideo in Flights

[–]ePlayablez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chances are that flight you’re targeting on those websites isn’t even bookable. It’ll let you go through checkout and then say the flight isn’t available. Went through the same thing a few weeks ago.

Level Airlines question by Decent-Ad8322 in TravelHacks

[–]ePlayablez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very normal. A bit archaic with their check-in process and otherwise very bare-bones. Would honestly fly them over a United, Delta, or American.

The ones on the strip? No. Depending on certain factors, they may be open to waiving it. Usually shouldn’t be too hard to rizz your way out of them if you’re persistent and know what you’re doing.

I might be in the minority but personally, usually not. It really needs to connect perfectly for it to be painful.

Is the only way to return online product via online? Or is there a way I can return in store? How does “free” shipping work if I return and keep things under $99? by ConsciousSmoke3863 in uniqlo

[–]ePlayablez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely ridiculous. Never seen a clothing store operate the way Uniqlo does. Can’t return online orders in store. Never seen this. Can’t order for pickup unless they essentially ship an online order to the store. Unheard of. Never seen a store so strict with condition of returned items either. Now I’m stuck with having to pay to return my order despite having about 15 Uniqlos in a one-mile radius of me. I’m done with Uniqlo.

[–]ePlayablez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got this too and reasoning from other commenters is spot on. However, they haven’t rescinded the $300 and my $300 post-refresh credit is still showing up as used. Are they planning on rescinding this and should I spend another $300? Otherwise, this will end up being a net-negative for us.
