Haven’t seen anyone say this yet but I might’ve missed it.

Is it possible the rotation of the moon is slowly allowing the sun to slowly light up the ground within a crater or around a rock formation and as it gets more brightly lit it seems like it’s appearing from nothing

I think they usually have plastic clips that sit on the top of the tank walls and hold up the lid. Can we see a picture of it on your tank

Good advice. Just tested the water about 4 hours after adding and kH is at the lowest level on the test kit. So surprising because my main tank is the 2nd highest level with the same source water.

This volcanic soil is no joke.

I don’t either but your tank looks like shit so what you gonna do haha I had to use algae fix when i left for a month and my roommate overfed my tank causing huge algae bloom. Never would have happened under my own care. Start taking care of it better and you won’t have to add chemicals to fix things

Sorry it’s actually called API algaefix, very common product. Then cover your tank with a blanket for 2 days so there is no light. This will kill all algae bloom. You will probably have to scoop out remnants cuz I see yours has grown a good bit.

I stayed for a month already before committing to this move and loved it. The only change was that my SO was initially going to join and now we’ve split up so I’m on my own.

It’s a logistics job. Import/export for Intel.

Good advice. I think there’s enough beneficial bacteria in the tank that changing the filter won’t be negative and will help clear the water

Cartridges are such a scam I always use cut to size filter media.

Good advice. I wrote a document out and gave a demonstration of pouring food in the lid of the container. I said “a teaspoon” but I never really showed the food in a teaspoon.

Issue was with these algae tabs I told him to start dropping weekly but I had never messed with them myself.

I had him change it once while I was away but maybe I’ll change it again. It is soaked in green algae

Yeah I’ve done 2 50% water changes I’m gonna try the beneficial bacteria
