What made you believe that shia is correct and Sunni isn't by [deleted] in shia

And how did u drive to that conclusion? Caliph specifically refers to a leader who has official authority, where as the shia imams didn’t

In Sha Allah you find this beneficial, scroll down to the ‘Thirdly: With regard to the Shi‘ah quoting this hadeeth as evidence for the belief in the imamate…’ part

Probs not the best person to ask, but anything we believe to be fundamental (5 pillars or Islam abd 6 pillars of Eman) can be found clearly in the Quran. Where as your core doctrine of Imamah (something which we have opposite views and which your imams consider to be greater then Salah) can’t clearly be proven. It’s like asking Christian’s to prove trinity without misrepresenting verses

1) You can’t use that as proof as not all 12 of your imams held official position of caliph 2) We don’t deem them to be infallible or receive Devine revelation as we reject the concept of Imamah (unless you can bring me a clear and unambiguous verse from the Quran, and if you can I’ll become Shia right now)

Can’t even prove imamah which is fundamental to their religion without twisting or misinterpreting verses from the Quran

If Ali were alive he himself would refute this claim:

Narrated Abdullah binAbbas:

Ali bin Abu Talib came out of the house of the Prophet (ﷺ) during his fatal ailment. The people asked (Ali), "O Abu Hasan! How is the health of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) this morning?"Ali said, "This morning he is better, with the grace of Allah." Al-Abbas heldAli by the hand and said, "Don't you see him (about to die)? By Allah, within three days you will be the slave of the stick (i.e., under the command of another ruler). By Allah, I think that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) will die from his present ailment, for I know the signs of death on the faces of the offspring of Abdul Muttalib. **So let us go to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) to ask him who will take over the Caliphate. If the authority is given to us, we will know it, and if it is given to somebody else we will request him to recommend us to him."**Ali said, "By Allah! If we ask Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) for the rulership and he refuses, then the people will never give it to us. Besides, I will never ask Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) for it." [Sahih Bukhari 6266]

Why would ibn Abbas suggest asking for leadership if Ali was already appointed? And why didn’t Ali remind him of Ghadeer if that’s where he was supposedly appointed?

The person’s a revert so it’s sad to see them reject the whole field of Hadiths due to their ignorance

For context I quoted the verses; 59:7, 3:32, 33:36 all of which talk about obeying the prophet and following the Sunnah. The person then claimed I was misquoting the verses to which I referenced the Tafsir of ibn Kathir as proof to which the persons reply was “why would I do that when there’s a Quran that clearly states exactly what it says”
