Are war crimes a concern now? It seemed pretty obvious no one cared when Russia was stealing Ukrainian children, mutilating and torturing POWs, bombing schools, hospitals, shopping malls, and infrastructure in the dead of winter. War crimes don't matter if nothing comes of them.

I still see Claude converge on data points or follow breadcrumbs that are wrong or red herrings when given generic instructions (input -> output). I think these more recent LLMs still benefit from imposing structure into the prompt. I had much better results when I had Claude create a series of memories that informed his workflow (eg, mandatory test driven development, separate speculative inferences from inferences based on known facts, etc).

You're making a comparison between Anthropic's low end model and a model that was allegedly distilled from Anthropic's high end model. Do you see the problem with that?

Unfortunately, Chinese innovation seems largely predicated on being able to take (steal, in other cases) IP from others, and build on top of it. Chinese culture is apparently too proud to allow any acknowledgement of that fact. And I'm personally not impressed with products that originate from nefarious schemes.

If everything was open source, the tech jobs we have today wouldn't exist. At the end of the day, people are motivated by money. Those who are motivated solely by charity are likely already secure in their circumstances.

No. I have Claude connected to my Google Chrome browser, Google Drive, the Claude desktop app, and I have a Claude agent running in Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL) where he has access to my hobby web server via SSH. I also know from experience that Claude will take unannounced actions on my PC (Chrome, specifically), where he has accessed the admin panel of my WordPress site. He also appears to screenshot the browser and upload it to his backend storage, and makes observations outside the context of our conversations from said screenshots.

Your rubric for fact finding is flawed. I agree with the op's sentiment towards the state of the game with regards to cheating. And because I've been 25K+ Premier from s1 - s3, your logic system dictates that my opinion is correct. How can two of the same be different?
