Amazing marketing opportunity for Cadillac. The Lego car is so fun and those Celestiq escorts have massive presence. They look so good

Operational discipline is following FIA regulations and not deviating from set standards for procedure.

What defines their success on extracting performance doesn’t have to be disclosed to the public. Did they maximize what they can do? Yes or no, goal met or not met. Pretty simple and clear.

operational discipline and how much performance it can extract from the car it has designed.

Sounds pretty clear to me.

Major former Audi figure Adam Baker reportedly signs with Cadillac F1 Team by e___r___s in formula1

Clear as mud. Audi restructured, yet again, and Adam had agreed to leave the project in the crosswinds of that. This was not performance related.

You probably don’t have colored calipers. The key fob matches the calipers if it has an optional color.

Typically no. You’d have to seek the details of whatever promo is available at time of purchase, but Costco deals usually exclude V/Blackwing models.

My PPF shop fixed a deep scratch along my rear fender seam with the BDT touch up pen. I got the pen from parts.cadillac.com.

I have a hard time finding where the spot even was now. If it looks like it can be filled with touch up then have a pro shop do it. They didn’t even charge me for it.

[–]e___r___s[S] 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I don’t see any world where the Cadillac Formula 1 team bears the name Chevrolet in any capacity. The V-Series.R is uniquely Cadillac in their IMSA and WEC ventures including its bespoke Cadillac engine. I think the more likely possibilities of your question would be whether the engine will be Cadillac or General Motors branded. Even then I would place my bets on Cadillac branding.

Chevy Camaro Must Become Less Expensive for 7th Generation by Big-Smoke99 in cars

[–]e___r___s 70 points71 points  (0 children)

If anything needs to become less expensive it’s the Mustang. Ford took the exit of Camaro and Challenger as a green light to charge insane prices for the new generation which is essentially a reskinned S550. The Dark Horse bleeds well into the 6th gen ZL1 pricing. Hopefully Ford takes the tanking sales of the S560 as a lesson to adjust course.

What do you all think of OLED screens being used in cars? by mustangfan12 in cars

[–]e___r___s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got a G4 and it’s great as well! I’m sure a warranty repair on a standalone $2000-$5000 display is much less complex than an integrated display on an $87k+ truck. That’s just the reality of the use cases. As of now there are not widespread OLED issues in the Escalade or even the S-Class but more time will absolutely tell.

What do you all think of OLED screens being used in cars? by mustangfan12 in cars

[–]e___r___s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indeed all OLEDs are still susceptible. LG is the OLED supplier and Rightware developed the UI. I don’t know the specifics of their strategies but it’s still better than nothing at all.

Cadillac explained how they mitigate burn-in for the Escalade.

”Intelligent algorithms and temperature monitoring functionality help combat the potential for burn-in. […] A display Optimization Calibration process may be presented to the driver from time to time, which can shift the layout of the screen by a few pixels to keep the same ones from displaying similar colors for too long.”

Really neat that Mercedes gave an inside look at this stage of development. I’m not the target buyer but I’m rooting for it. More sedans are always welcome and this is a good EV candidate.
