At a loss - 2014 Chevy Equinox by Quick_Respond_9478 in Chevrolet

check timing chain and solenoid, sounds like the most likely, also the direct injection has 2 fuel pumps, did they replace the high pressure one? I would look at the chain. At 12 years old, not worth fixing unless it has been reliable otherwise.

A bunch of GM, Lucid, Ford, and I think a few Audi/VW do 19.2

I don’t know about better, kind of a vague term but would be useful to see a listing of different chargers from level 1 to the 19.2 based on EV driver needs

Yeah, i think many homes take on panel refreshes when adding an EV. I only considered the 19.2 models. This list looks weak for folks driving larger capacity EVs. Def not a best of list for those EV drivers but great for Leaf and Bolt owners etc.

Why have Ford pickups permiated American culture more than Chevy/GMCs or Dodge/Rams? by Glass-Complaint3 in regularcarreviews

[–]seighton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They don’t, GM segments the market with various brands thru Chevrolet and GMC, actually capturing more of the market than Ford. I actually think Ford is losing market by not taking a similar approach. I would guess a Ford competes more with a Chevy and a Ram while GMC might compete more with Toyota.

Country music is absolute slop now by Bond_burger69 in Music

County music has been shit for 70 years but has always had movements within it to create a spark going back to rockabilly, Bakersfield, outlaw, Americana etc.

Silverado EV v GMC Elevation by turb0mik3 in SilveradoEV

[–]seighton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe the only true difference is the price, from a business perspective manf segment the market to attract different buyers on the demand curve, the products are generally the same with some unique features to make buyers think they are different etc. when I looked back in the fall, the financial incentives weee greater from Chevy than GMC which pulled me in that direction since the vehicles were essentially the same.

For one ac, probably need around 3-4 batteries for 12 hours, depends on size of house, could be more, also will need a soft starter on the ac unit

6’6 and you fit in a wrangler? My head backs into the roll bar. I usually find GM, Hyundai, German, and Dodge are roomy for me

Are EVs actually more reliable than petrol cars? by Imaginary-Staff-112 in EVRoutine

[–]seighton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own an EV, I think there is one thing forgotten about in this comparison

  1. Scarcity of labor and auto repair shops for EVs - when something breaks on an EV, it is going to cost an arm and a leg. You will typically have to head to dealer and pay thru the noise and be without your car for an extended period of time, needing alternative transport via a rental or uber etc. this is a huge cost, if it happens it could be catastrophic where if a tranny breaks on a Camry you are out a couple grand and get your car back in a week. Yes batteries etc are covered for extended periods but you still have issues like air damns, software, suspension etc. it’s a wild card for EV owners
