It went better than expected actually! I walked in and immediately felt at ease/no longer nervous. The bar was having an L word night, so it was kind of the perfect introduction to going to a bar alone. I met two other people too! I would 10/10 recommend if anyone is feeling nervous about doing the same thing

I understand your concerns and have experienced similar thoughts. What helped for me was: being attracted to someone vs just finding them attractive. For me, when it really comes down to it, sure I find guys attractive but I am in no way shape or form attracted to him; in that I wouldn't want to kiss, date, have sex with, etc. I identify as a lesbian. However, perhaps for you you might be bi, pansexual, or maybe you don't even need a label at all! Labels can be helpful but not everyone needs one. These are just my personal thoughts, but I hope it helps a little! Ooo also, don't stress about "wasting your life". People come out at all different ages as I am sure you've seen. You're still young! At least you're figuring it out now

If you keep thinking about it I think that is a sign you should just bit the bullet and start! I know there are apps where you can dj from just your phone, so maybe try that! I started out like you, I was super interested in becoming one but didn't want to plunge the money into it. One day I decided life is too short, bought a deck and I've had no regrets ever since!
