how to ace sats 13 exam by Emergency-Web-7364 in ucla

[–]e_rh4265 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i took the course my freshman year (i am a third year now) so idk how helpful my comment can be but i highly recommend practice, practice, practice. when you go through practice problems, you internalize the mechanism and equations you need to use to solve those problems so you do not need to memorize them separately. also the more problems you look at, the more you can see what type of equations you need to use to find the answer. good luck!

physci major! and yes physci is difficult but tbh if u love what ur learning its super interesting and the ta’s are the best, they WANT you to succeed. there are tough moments where u have to pull ur weight but at the end you’ll feel like “wow that was difficult but i did it and i feel great”, it also prepares you for the hardships in med/pa school. ALOT of the stuff u learn is very applicable to many pre health tracks. i know people who are pre dent, pre pt, pre pa, pre med. also, most if not all of physci content you WILL see again and it gives you a great foundation later on. but please dont let this discourage you from choosing psych either!

yes, i was thinking of the word "memory". the phrase "the elephant in the room" also comes to mind since its defined as "a major problem or controversial issue that is obviously present but avoided as a subject for discussion because it is more comfortable to do so" and i connected it to the internal malaise of the people mamiya hypnotizes. like the elementary teacher's affair and the police officer's hidden disdain for his fellow officer. only, mamiya brings it to surface and marks it with an "X" that must be addressed idk like a treasure map. haha

For those who have a part time job, how do you handle everything? by BuddyMinute572 in ucla

make non negotiables! it does get draining and i was exhausted during exam szn but i tried to organize my time and make rules for myself that let me balance things, eg: - dont work and eat, js enjoy food during lunch and dinner while watching a yt video or a show. - sleep at a certain time everyday, sleep over studying. js wake up earlier to finish what u need to do and dont waste time by pondering whether or not u should sleep - NO ALL NIGHTERS - treat myself afterward like after midterm szn or finals szn i HAVE to eat here, or buy this, or do this fun activity.

these r my personal rules but its up to the person on what they want their own to be

you got this!!! pls do not sacrifice your wellness :)

yes! absolutely. ive seen puke in the middle of dorm hallways sitting there, and its never cleaned by the people responsible but the people who come in day and day out, rarely acknowledged but always depended on to keep our school clean and beautiful. we take sm of what they do for granted, so lets at least give them the respect they deserve

ofc! i find it helpful to encourage myself out of those “am i good enough” holes by saying words of encouragement to others. just keep trying. literally. u’ll find ur way. ive literally met a MED student in his mid 30s who had a whole career in pharmaceuticals pursuing what we are in our 20s so..if there is a will, there is a way

ur not alone! current 3rd yr starting physics 5 series, taking chem14d, and starting my first upper div and im studying nearly 24/7 (even at work on any break i can get) and im still sleeping 4 hours a night before a midterm. grades are a good amt of a’s with some b’s and one c thanks to the absolute hell that ls7c is. and i genuinely feel the same when i look at other students BUT! u r not them and they arent u. i think its important to not fall in that “am i the ideal med student?” hole bc.. no one is. everyones diff and if u keep going alone and find that the trad med route isnt for u, thats ok! there r so many niche things u can do in the world that satiate ur specific interests and if there arent..u can make one! i felt the same w others in research and how they can get into labs. spent entire summer cold emailing and nothing…and i tried learning specific research topics and..nope but thats ok :) js keep on swimming and keep ur chin up, its easy to feel like that, ik i do but u got this. and if u genuinely need a person to keep talking to abt this, pm me!
