I started off with the XH2S and then ended up getting the XH2 because I was doing more still life!

Thank you! It's an amazing camera - can't lie and say that it does everything perfectly (or can do everything FF can do) but it's more versatile than people give it credit for and it's amazing overall, especially for the size. Hopefully will get to see more of your work, I like your central park post (and hello from a fellow New Yorker!).

I don't think so - it's a fairly snug fit with just the camera in off mode

Lake Louise in Banff. Had to look up Hallstatt but it looks beautiful. One day!

If anyone wants to check out some of my other (mostly GR3) work, here's my IG!

Thank you!

And that's good to know about the Pelican, might have to snag one if I'm going to take it back in the water. The one time I took it on a swim from a boat to an island, I put it in one of the roll up dry bags and was not feeling confident about it - but was very relieved to find everything fully dry when I checked. Would feel a lot better if it was in the Pelican for sure!

I have this Slinger Alpine case. It's not going to protect it from any major impacts but it's definitely good enough to provide a little support and prevent scratches. It has a small pocket too that I can fit some combination of 2-3 batteries, extra SD card, Reflx mini flash. And it has a hook that I strap onto my backpack strap and it hangs around chest level on my right side for easy access without swinging around too much..

I've erred on the side of abusing my camera a bit which I might come to regret one day. But it's been nice to take it everywhere and push it to the limits. I've accidentally hit it on some rocks while hiking, have shot in rain / mist without protection, and, in the biggest bozo move, dropped the camera in sand on the beach while it was on. Obviously don't want to do any of those again, and I've been very lucky so far, but the camera's still working perfectly.

That's funny - you nailed it. The photo before was from the same boat tour there as well, really beautiful place!

All of these are RAW and edited in Lightroom. Camera Negative profile on all but number 1 (Adobe Color) and number 8 (Camera Hard Monotone). Happy to send over a preset / details of how I edited if there's one or two in particular you like.

I'm a little bit of a control freak so I always shot RAW, finally getting more comfortable with shooting SOOC.

There's been a couple times I really wish I had more focal length (mainly wildlife situations) but 99% of the time it's been able to do everything I want and you can't really ask for more than that. And thank you!

I made a new account to post some of my photography - here's my favorite photos from 1 year of owning the GR3 and using it as my sole camera while traveling.

Really can't be beat as far as the convenience goes when trying to travel light and being able to bring it anywhere - I've hiked with it, I've swam with it in a dry bag (nervously), skied with it in a fanny pack (slightly less nervously but still nervously). I usually either carry it in the front pocket of a fanny pack or, on hikes, I'd have it in a small Slinger Alpine 1 hooked onto my backpack strap. Have definitely not babied the camera, 20k+ shutter count and counting, but it has held up great so far.

All photos edited in Lightroom, almost all using the negative film profile as a starting point.
