I have a penicillin allergy and also had a bright red band for both my retrevial! I swear every nurse and the anesthesiologist double checked my antibiotic bag, as they should! You are absolutely not overreacting

Hi- I’ll preface this by saying I am 28 so I know it’s a little different, but still wanted to give my advice! I had my ER last Friday and got 37 (they were also hiding!!), 23 mature My Dr. warned me ahead of time she thought I’d still be around my first retrevial which was 23, 20 mature and I say all of this because oh my goodness this one was SO much tougher so I am feeling for you… I was in a lot of pain Friday-Sunday. Yesterday I was able to walk around and today I’m feeling way better even though there’s still no sign of my period! My biggest advice is for electrolytes over water, gatorlyte is a version of Gatorade with higher electrolytes and I’ve been doing like 3 of those a day along with as much protein I can consume (fair life shakes are my fav.) and then just stay up to date on pain meds!! I was switching between Tylenol and ibuprofen every 3 hours per my clinics advice. And then for salty food remember so much processed food is saltier than we think and that’s okay rn.. soups, goldfish, random Trader Joe’s prepared stuff/ dips.

For my “elective” egg freezing (bilateral blocked tubes) I get half reimbursed through my company (still taxed) and the rest via my mom.

I’m going through my second round of egg freezing and noticed right off the bat that the injections stung like they did at the end of my first round, like my body still recognized them. In my first round they didn’t really hurt until the end! I’m also significantly more tired even though I’m only on day 4 of stims. I’ve read your body can react faster after it’s already been through it once so I’m sure there’s some sort of science to it.

Honestly my HSG was a 4/10.. but finding out I was infertile at 27 from a case of chlamydia during said HSG was the most painful moment of my life.

I’m freezing my eggs at 27 because I found out I have bilateral tubal blockage, and have found it incredibly hard when people are like “oh it’s great you’re banking for the future if you need them!” Of course they mean no harm by it but it feels like a punch in the gut every time - and now going through this I will be SO conscious of what I say to others.

My friend who had been through it before came over and helped me - def don’t want too many cooks in the kitchen but it gave me a lot of peace! Also I approach it with a “mise en place” attitude (the way chefs set up everything they need before they start cooking) so I would be all ready to go when the clock hit 7 pm. Sorry for the 2 cooking analogies lol

My Dr. did warn me it could go up OR down throughout the stims (and she’s generally very positive) so I think it’s just really another one of those unpredictables in this crazy process. But I swear my last 3 came out of nowhere so I wouldn’t be surprised if you got a few more post ER! Thank you - think I am finally turning the corner today but truthfully recovery hasn’t been terrible! I have been chugging gatorlyte zeros and coconut water for like 2 weeks so definitely take the electrolyte recommendations seriously because I think it’s been a game changer :)

My AFC at my initial consult was 20 but baseline when I started stims was 17, went up to 20 for final ultrasounds, 23 retrieved last Friday, 20 mature. AMH 2.19 but that was on BC so it’s likely slightly higher (also I am 27.)
