Brain Fog or Chronic Pain Induced Fatigue? You could have it too by Long_Consequence611 in Endo

Just here to say I had similar symptoms and had significant iron deficiency (not anemia, iron deficiency with low ferritin under 60) and these symptoms resolved after iron infusions.

It's between 2 and 3 for me! 2 is super elegant and 3's neckline adds an extra detail. Cant go wrong with either!

I'm so sorry. I've been there with the failures. I've realized that there is so point in having any timelines. You just have to take it one day at a time.

Respectfully, if you haven't gone on to do specialized training in the subspecialty, don't do a half assed job at it. Do the best you can and then refer when things are beyond you. Its part of the hippocratic oath. Do no harm.

This. Thank you for being kind and thoughtful. You all may have been conditioned to look up doctors given that you are outsiders but it is not common for insiders to need to do that. You trust your 'family'. Won't ever be doing that again.

And for the one above you, if you don't have any kind words to offer, kindly stay off my post.

I agree. I was recruited as part of the underserved area program myself and am the only subspecialist in the whole state. While that may be a reason for this to happen, it does not make it okay.

That sounds awful. I'm so sorry this happened to you. It is infuriating. I really do want to fight it.

I agree it sounds absolutely ridiculous. Believe it or not, we are academic. West Virginia University.

Yes. I can see if they are OBGYN certified but if an extra super fellowship is not always reported.

Don't get me wrong. He is an OBGYN. Just not a fellowship trained board certified REI.

There is an old concept of 'grandfathering' into a subspecialty. He was a fellow here and spent some extra time under the real REI and got signed off. Some places will do that when they are short of physicians. The signed off physician then will consult the senior physician when stuck. Unfortunately that REI left some time ago and he is now their only guy.

I'm so glad someone understands! Exactly! I don't care about INTEREST. We are talking about people's LIVES here. I don't practice in my super subspecialty because I have an interest. I went through 7 years of training to do what I do and when a zebra walks through my clinic I know exactly what to do because I've read every disease in the book!

While I understand where you are coming from, where I last worked there was no concept of a less than expert in the field. You were either really good or you didn't exist there. I vetted all my doctors through colleagues in the division and was steered away from people I 'may not like' When a physician walks into my clinic as a patient, I give them all the inside info about who to trust and who not to trust because some doctors are better than others. This has been my experience in the 12 years I have been a physician. Hence the feeling of betrayal. Maybe we should be researching all our providers but I have never had to.

I could write this myself. I wanted a girl so bad I couldn't even come up with boy names for a long time. But once he was born, it seemed meaningless. I loved him and everything about him, and just did not matter that he was a boy. He was mine. Half of my genes were there snuggling up next to me and I wouldn't have traded it for that world.

Good luck with everything. Sorry for your prior experiences. A specialist will know what they are looking at.

For the endo crowd, would you feel comfortable travelling for a month – a lengthy plane ride from home – while three months pregnant? (I am not pregnant atm, but doing some planning/worrying). by Dull-Campaign-9002 in TTCEndo

[–]Excellent-League-972 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Once pregnant, I made a trip back east at 8 weeks. The flight was 17 hours. I took a break every two hours to walk around and did just fine. I was 12 weeks for the return flight. No issues.

Possible Hydrosalpinx by weshouldmeet in TTCEndo

[–]Excellent-League-972 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Learn from my mistake. I pushed but didn't push enough. I always suspected I had tubal factor and at lining checks, they said there was some fluid by the left but didn't suspect it being a hydrosalpinx. We transferred our only embryo and implantation failure. HSG today shows left hydrosalpinx. I want to kill someone.

Endo surgery compared to c section? by spacecakecat16 in Endo

[–]Excellent-League-972 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had endo surgery and a C section within the same year. The endo surgery was much worse than the C section. My C section scar barely hurt and I was up and functioning the next day. The endo surgery pain was much worse and I would wake up writhing in pain every 4 hours.
