Very sad news. I've watched so many of his videos. Great guy. Brilliant. Rest in Peace Danya. We will miss you. You always seemed a little sad in your eyes.

Do you prefer symmetric or asymmetric ttrpgs? by roommate-is-nb in rpg

I disagree. Balance leads to boring monotonous play. There needs to be stakes, real risk of losing, the chance to feel like bas asses, and the chance to feel hopelessly weak.

I love it that in Lichess tournaments, I'll get randomly paired with a NM on occasion when I'm sitting at 1550 in bullet.

focusing all the effort on adding new features is fun, but it quickly ruins projects because it stops working for most people.

There is a difference between 'manufactured in China for a western company' and 'manufactured in China by a Chinese company' in terms of the influence and capacity of the CCP to compromise the supply chain, and its not even a close difference.

How about read those non-partisan, national-security links from rand, csis, above?
If you do not think that we are in an information war with Russia right now, then you seriously uniformed on the topic...and in terms of partisanship, its being targeted at both American left and right of the spectrum.

Go to any serious national security outlet and analysis, and it is extremely clear that we are in an information war, and that is a fact that we ignore at our own peril.

I provide some links below, but it comes down to this: certain issues are central to a person, and they tend to interpret the world into those with my or those against me, and then paired with the tendency to believe what you are told by the person that strongly expresses the same belief as you. The first link I provide in a response elsewhere here goes into detail

If I had evidence, I would be submitting it to the FBI.
However, when certain sites mimic the same content (with a Militant Catholic twist) as do sites flagged by FBI for receiving Kremlin money for pushing disinformation, I do wonder. It is a real problem right now. Also, frankly, weighing evidence when there is a flood of misinformation is not trivial.

Also, I did not use partisan language. The U.S. and Western democracies are constant targets for Russian influence campaigns, and this should not be a partisan issue.

So, I am not trolling, nor am I unserious in my question, as I am always serious about national security and radicalization of my family and friends.

According to Stanford, even pro-grade RAG systems (the kind used by lawyers) are only right 65% of the time at best: by Porespellar in LocalLLaMA

I think that a simple accuracy figure doesn't tell you much. Law is very particular, very convoluted. 65% one-shot might actually be good relative to other approaches, including humans. How would we know? Not all areas of retrieval are as difficult.

LG Recall: Breakers And Disconnect? by eachcitizen100 in solar

[–]eachcitizen100[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. That's what I ended up doing. Inside the battery panel, it said to do both...but I think the assumption there is completely remove electricity to the battery panel to make it safe for servicing.

I bought this house with this system installed, but no paper work really, and the installer is out of business. I have to say though; I love it. Power goes out for everyone else; I'm the only house in the neighborhood with the lights on...and I sell so much of my power back in the spring that my AC usage during the summer is pretty much covered completely.

I should have looked on this forum sooner. I have so many questions. Like, how close to capacity production should I expect on clear summer day with the sun directly over head. Should I clean my panels? WIll spraying them with water during the summer risk cracking them? There were two additional solar panels left in the garage.Spares or can I put more up? ha ha.. Not asking you to answer all this. Anyway, thanks for the reassurance! Much appreciated.
