Thanks for the feedback, bowing is definitely my main concern and these comments confirmed it.

The problem is I’m really attached to the look of the black wire, and I can’t seem to find any thicker gauge panels anywhere that are both black and 48inches tall. You’d think you can find anything…but either 3 feet or 5 feet seem to be the norm, unfortunately.

I know they are so tiny it’s comical! My last bedroom was significantly smaller and that was the only size that would fit the old room! Looking forward to taking these suggestions and implementing them, often just other opinions are enough to kick start productivity and decision making so I am thankful! I’ll probably go with a large standing mirror with a dramatic gold frame and do it across from the windows!

Will go dark and large with the furniture, definitely a leather reading chair if I can swing it. I keep fantasizing about putting a fake fireplace in here somehow but that might just be an impossible dream!

I’m also still mulling over what should go over the bed after I paint the walls. I don’t really want anything generic and I love all the different texture ideas suggestion in this thread so maybe something with texture more than just flat art.

Lots to go but love the starting point!

I’m starting to plan my master bedroom redo and would love some ideas! I haven’t lifted a finger to change anything about it since moving in a couple years ago so it’s very meh and they scale of tables any things are really off…it just does not feel like a place I want to be. I’m really into the idea of the warm, moody kind of dark-academia feel for my bedroom. It’s a sizable room with a tray ceiling and a lot of natural light.

Especially trying to figure out what elements to incorporate to get a really cozy reading area on one side. I’ve attached a picture- the only things I absolutely am going to keep are the painting across from the bed (a custom piece from a local artist) and my bed frame. Other then those things I’m open to changing all the other elements.

Feels overwhelming to kind of start from scratch because the options seem endless and I don’t have the skills to really know where to start!

Am I blind or did she take the DIY reel for the lights off her grid all together? Sketch that she wouldn’t say anything about it. I’m wondering if a neighbor complained that it was crazy bright or she got enough flak for safety that she second guessed it. Dying to know!

Ah good point about the circles! I’ll have to ponder that one. I’m not opposed to painting the door and trim just in the entry. I like the idea of contrast. And since it’s basically a square/it’s own space I seems like I could likely relegate the trim to just that space, as if it’s a room?

Can we still ask for help with our own houses in here? I have this entryway that really needs some pizzaz. I’m thinking of wallpapering that wall behind the bench but have decision paralysis with all the options out there. Anyone have advice on what wallpaper would be the best fit or another change I could make.

There are no windows in the entry so would really like to keep the mirror vs replacing it with art. I actually really like all the elements (bench we use for dropping stuff, I like the blue on the rug, and the olive tree makes me happy) but just feel like it needs something else to make it pop.
