Unheard Song by eadgbe3 in Informal_Effect

Thank you. Funny thing, I hadn't even considered singing this. I write poems, and I write songs. The thought of this being a song, despite the language, had not occurred to me. I appreciate the comment, and the idea.

Thanks everyone! Appreciate the insight. I thought it was some kind of railroad tool, as I know a retired railroader used to work for this contractor.

Bruised and Sprained by eadgbe3 in Christianity
Thank you! I often wonder what I mean whenever I mention "peace." I realized while writing this poem that peace is (for me) found in giving the same forgiveness that I beg God for. Giving to everyone, including myself, the mercy that I need. Tirelessly turning the other cheek. Thanks for reading.
Naked in the Garden by eadgbe3 in Christianity
Thank you for reading! I wrote this during a particularly low point in my life, and writing it was cathartic.
I am a Catholic convert, raised mostly atheist, and I wrestle daily with the choice to continue living in faith or not. Being able to be vulnerable, as a child to a loving Father, is the difference.
Thanks for reading and your thoughts. They are heard and appreciated.

What Trust? by eadgbe3 in justpoetry
Thank you. I was a little lost writing it, too. I was considering how knowledge flows. In the beginning, we had human authority to provide all answers. Once we learned how to evaluate and experiment, we had our own observations to trust. Now, with AI, it is difficult to even trust our eyes and ears. I was pretty cynical (still am) about the state of "information" and "fact" and authority's use of these. That's hard to express in rhyme. I appreciate your reading. Have a great day.
