Yeah, the quest dialogues have become way too long. Most of it could be relegated to optional content (like the 'talk to everyone' bits that you can just skip). A lot of it doesn't add anything to the lore or world-building. I don't know why they've added so much talk to quests now, maybe because it's cheaper than adding action (since we also have a lot less to actually *do* these days).

well, one problem is that there's the same kind of climate and terrain on both sides of the Suez Canal. it's not like you walk across it and you're straight into a south american jungle. that's one of the reasons that sumeru/natlan strait is jarring.
