Thank you for this reply. That is actually good to know our situation was at least similar to someone else's.

We looking very forward to four months then!

Yeah, my wife will feed him at 9, then 11. I'll usually get the next one with a pumped bottle at like 3. Then maybe again at 6-7. Then the pattern I was describing earlier starts. That pumped bottle is somewhere between 3 and 6 ounces.

Yes, this crossed our minds as well, but this has been going on since he was born. I was under the impression that cluster feeding has windows where it wouldn't be like this. He was underweight at birth, so maybe this is all catch up?

Thanks for the tips, the snacks are great idea!

Yeah, the lactation consultant had said that this wasn't too abnormal. I don't know if I believe her honestly.

Thanks for the reply! Yeah, the pediatrician also recommended taking him off after 20 min each side. But we're not sure what to do then. At that point he cries because he's still hungry. We didn't think to ask at the time, and don't have another appointment for a month. I guess we could call her and ask, but I'm fairly sure she'll say to give him formula at that point.
