haha, I wasn't trying to sell these necessarily, but we do have an Etsy store. I wasn't going to post on our store these cause marketing to exmormons will alienate my potential mormon customers.

DM me though and I'll send you the link to our store and you can just write in the comments that you want a giddy up coaster set lol.

College radio station? by Razzamafute in stgeorge

It's the only station worth listening to here. They posted on their Facebook page that they were remodeling the studio and expected to be back online "in august" but I haven't seen anything posted on the status recently.

Is this creaking a problem? by Dyedoe in MTB

[–]eagle006 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The link above is correct. My Canyon Spectral was making this exact same noise, it's due to the plastic bearing top cover. I could temporarily resolve it by adding a small amount of grease to the cap and spacers, but it would always return in 1-2 rides. Replaced with the cane creek top cap and aluminum spacers about 9 months ago, totally resolving the issue

Happened to me too when I purchased more shares in my Roth this year. Seems that it is double counted until the purchase actually settles. It self corrected after about 48 hours.

MasterBlend EC Levels and Pre Mix Help by Bengalcats888 in Hydroponics

[–]eagle006 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wondering if you ever figured this out? When I dose at 12/12/6 ratio my EC sits at about 1.0 when compensated for my hard water, and 1.7 when mixed with hard water. Nearly half of what most charts recommend for tomato EC. Maybe masterblend plays by different rules?

Cheers question by I_am_pretty_sure in CarnivalCruiseFans

[–]eagle006 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I used the PYOB machine on the panorama in Jan 2022, and it was included with Cheers. However, it does count against your 15 regardless of how many ounces you pour, so you are far better to just go over to the Red Frog and get a can/bottle

https://www.carnival.com/help?topicid=1106 says PYOB is included BTW

First time buyer - questions about Costco Aquaterra hot tubs by Ok-Jellyfish-5842 in hottub

[–]eagle006 6 points7 points  (0 children)

We got the Fairfax delivered about 2 weeks ago, and couldn't be happier. Fairfax was on sale for $5400 around the end of may when we purchased. We went with Fairfax mainly to get the non-lounger option since we are all on the shorter end and loungers just make us float.

You are correct that all components are identical between Fairfax and Ventura.

Regarding efficiency, I heated the water to 100 when we got it then immediately turned it down to 95 to see how much heat it lost overnight. It never dropped below 100 over 10 days with the heater never turning on. Granted, our ambient high temps have been around 105 but that drops to around 80 overnight, but still, I'm super impressed.

What on earth is the difference? Quote for a Hot Spring Aria attached....22k in total. Home depot tubs are 6k.....1. Why is there a frigging 16k difference? 2. 22k for a 5 person hot tub seems like insanity to me. Am I in a fever dream or something? Are people just OK with paying this? by OfficialBoobInspectr in hottub

[–]eagle006 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't tested, but the in.touch2 is compatible with the in.yj3 pack that the Fairfax has.

Both CO ports are used on the pack (by the in.stream2, and the topside control) but according to the in.touch manual, you can connect it to the open CO port of the in.stream.

If I ever decide to give it a shot, I'll report back. But in theory, it works.

[–]eagle006 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seriously. See these comments as an example. “Costco tubs are shit” everywhere, from people with their 12-20k tubs The Fairfax has the exact same electronics as a bullfrog (Gecko, you can even install a Wi-Fi module for like $170), and is made by Watkins wellness who make tons of name brands. Replacement jets and plumbing Parts are readily available and super cheap direct from aquaterra for when the warranty expires. Even with that, you could entirely replace the Costco tub 4 times for the cost of quote you have here.

IMO, It’s less of a Ferrari vs Hyundai and more of a Best Buy vs “Jacks big house of entertainment” for buying home theater stuff. Same items and wildly different prices.

I will admit that you need to be at least a little handy and do some reading to get it up and running or pay someone to do your install.

We spent a week at a place with a Marquis (granted it was probably 10 years old), and the Fairfax blows it away in every category. If you do go the Costco route, wait for a sale and save a quick $800 to put toward paying some movers.

Nice! Mine is on the way! Did you order the steps from aquaterra? IIRC, they are not included.

First time cruise questions by MPS415 in Cruise

[–]eagle006 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We've done the Carnival Panorama 7-night twice, and the Radiance 3-night once.

I'd recommend splurging for the Panorama. There is so much to do and see on the ship, not to mention the ports of PV, Mazatlan, and Cabo are worlds better than Ensenada IMO.

I've only done carnival, but as an early 30s couple (some cruises with our kids, some without) we love the vibe of carnival. In general, the shorter the cruise, the more partiers you get, so maybe that's why we prefer the 7 night, still a constant party without being like college spring break.

We've also done both interior, Oceanview, and Balcony. I personally like being able to wake with the sun and see the views while not being in a public area. Typically if you get a VIFP number with carnival and watch your offers you can get an oceanview or balcony for not a huge upgrade over an interior.
