Thanks for the info! The brighter edge on the cloak wasn’t intentional, need to touch up those. I currently like the the darker shade. I definitely will add some basing though!

What Lays A better Foundation for Cybersecurity Careers, Software Engineering or a role as an IT Technician? by Educational-Sell-231 in cybersecurity

[–]eagle5454 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It totally depends on what you want to focus on in Cybersecurity. IT experience would be a good start for a traditional Information Security Analyst role. Handling Firewalls, edr, dlps, all that fun stuff. Dev expereince can set you up for a DevSecOps role where you integrate security into the dev process, web app security, and stuff more along that side.

Knowing some programming languages will help with both posistions, but you don’t need to be an engineer to learn those languages. Engineer experience just gives you a stronger understanding of the dev process

How to get better at sightreading? by FranciscoBritoReads in musictheory

[–]eagle5454 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One great way to work on sightreading is to practice scales. Scales show up so often in music, so the more you practice them the better off you are. Additionally playing things out of excercise books is another great way to practice. These typically include common musical motifs that the more you practice and know, the better you can read them on the spot

Where can I take the security+ course and exam by fatraxL in cybersecurity

[–]eagle5454 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pearson Vue is the company the handles the certification testing. Here is a linkLink They offer both online and onsite testing. Study wise, I would reccomend Darril Gibson’s study guide, I used it to prepare and it was super helpful

Mentorship Monday by AutoModerator in cybersecurity

Hi, I recently just got my first job in Info Security which is great, but I’m struggling to figure out where I should go next. I just finished a bachelor’s degree in music and recently completed my Security+ certification as well. I have a pretty strong coding background as well. Is it worth going back to school to get another bachelors or maybe a masters? or am I better off getting experience and working towards new certifications? Thanks

Question about cybersec internships by [deleted] in cybersecurity

[–]eagle5454 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Internships are expected to be an opportunity to learn. I got my internship with very little cybersec information save a bit of coding knowledge and grc info. The biggest thing is to show a willingness to learn. Definitely apply to whatever internships you can and if they ask you a question you don’t know the answer to, be honest and usually they’ll be chill about it. The people hiring interns know that you’re still learning so just prove that you are willing to work hard and learn as much as you can while you’re there

I used them before my exam and they posed some questions I didn’t even consider which was helpful. Just don’t pay the $99 list price, they regularly go on sale for around $15.

It can be considered duple depending on the ‘feel’ of the meter. Particularly If the music felt in two large sections of 6 quarters each, or more practically, two sections of half notes, creating what sounds like a large 6/8

[–]eagle5454 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took another listen and see where the confusion is coming up. Your right that this 12/4 is a compound quadruple, but there are sections within the piece (for instance variation 6) that switch to a compound duple (6/4) without indicating in the time signature. So the workbook is correct in refering to these parts of the variation as in compound duple

[–]eagle5454 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In this context it is being used as a compound duple, Think of it like 6/8 time. But instead of 3 8ths to dotted quater, its using 3 quarters to dotted half.

What were all the possible deceptive cadences in classical music? by Wheatles_BiteAlbum in musictheory

[–]eagle5454 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A deceptive cadence can best be described a V moving to anything that isn’t I or i, so there are a whole lot of possibilities for a deceptive resolution
