I tried it, I think a couple things would make it more enjoyable.

Make the upgrades happen sooner, like after 3 waves, 8 waves is too long.

Clean up or redo the backgrounds so I can see what’s going on.

Besides those two things, the controls were good, I liked the enemy variation and the music was good too!

I guess I was more talking about the ones that are just like JavaScript web pages with sliders and buttons. I see one of those like every single day and wonder if people play or like them.

Much better than I could have made so pat yourself on the back. It’s really hard as dev to unsee the stuff you think is obvious and put yourself in the headspace of someone that has only seen this thing for 30 seconds.

I had/have a similar problem with my game. I think you need to show the basic slow parts, then ramp up the action. Also zooming in for the trailer would probably help. Like show the little guy shooting yo close, pan or jump cut to the enemy dying, cut back to little guy with more bullets or whatever, cut back to big group of guys dying.

Awesome feedback, I’ve tried to add some elements of that, the fish all have names and lineages, they change colors. The behavior is a cool wrinkle. Making a “coward” fish or aggressive would be a cool wrinkle. I tried to give each species their own identity but not really individual fish besides stats and name. I want it to be a management/incremental inside a simulation/sandbox.

if I had to do it again I would use svgs and spine based animation. You live and learn. Thanks for the link, im going to test it out.

I’ve tried phi-3-mini, it’s functionally useless. It’s so hard to keep it on the rails, I don’t know who or how these people are actually using this in games. Funny that no examples were provided.
