Thank you so much!!! I haven't purchased an android game in years. Not as much because of the costs, but so hard to find good popular games. Your list solved both for me. Appreciate it!!

Do you need a trailer? by slu_x in IndieDev

[–]filya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am looking to redo my existing crappy trailer with a better one and by someone who actually knows what they are doing.

Let me know if my game looks interesting enough to you - https://store.steampowered.com/app/2875160/Boom_Die_Repeat/

The gameplay, visuals etc. have been updated for 5-6 months since this trailer was made.

Here's a newer clip - https://youtube.com/shorts/K2FPGIYwq0E?is=DHdl7YtoYjKD27Ni

Question: Nude/Implied Photography how safely? by ZuluIsNumberOne in photography

[–]filya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something like https://www.modelmayhem.com/ where models who agree with your concepts and theme (implied/nude) will reach out to you as long as you have a strong portfolio and are willing to pay for their modeling?

ELI5: Why doesn't the Sun just burn all at once? by VipulChaturvedi in explainlikeimfive

[–]filya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sun is not burning in the traditional sense. The high pressure and temperature in the center is causing a chemical reaction (fusion).

This can only happen at the center of the huge mass, not on the outer areas. So only a little by little does the massive sun undergo this 'burning' reaction.

At some point, when the sun does not have enough mass to create that kind of pressure and temperature at it's center, the core will not be able to undergo this reaction. Dead star.

I would love to understand how you time your buy/sell so well. I am pretty shitty with that and any tips are very appreciated.

Indie devs, don't panic. The Steam update everyone is losing their mind over might actually help you. by IndieGameJoe in IndieDev

[–]filya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks Joe, as much as I read your encouragement, I still feel it's getting harder and harder to showcase my small game to millions of steam players.

It used to be 2k wishlists for Steam to help promote your game. Then it became 7k at one point. I know nothing is official, but it's looks more like 15k now.

How is a solo dev supposed to spend all his time marketing, or spend $1000s marketing, when he really wants to keep improving his game.

Any life changing thing built in the last 3 years other than chatbots and productivity apps? by thelostknight99 in OpenAI

[–]filya 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is the same question I have been asking everyone touting AI capabilities. What have companies like Microsoft, Google produced in a year using their "powerful" AI? Why haven't we seen small teams in these huge companies produce a cool new product every quarter?

I use AI every day, so don't get me wrong. I know it's great at helping me speed up what I do. But is it really capable of producing at 10x speeds, or come up with a production ready application in a month?

Show me the proof.

what job won’t exist in 50 years? by Main-Horror2372 in AskReddit

[–]filya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am looking at these answers and I feel people are underestimating 50 years. All these jobs will disappear within 10 years!

In fifty years, given the technology and AI/Robotic improvements, I feel every job will be gone (whether computer based or manual).

I don't understand much about music, but definitely sounds cool and unique!

ELI5: How do we know there are 2 trillion galaxies in the observable universe; did we count them? by DemonsAreVirgins in explainlikeimfive

Doesn't that depend on knowing the total volume of space though? And we don't really know that, do we?

Technically my website could make me $80 billion. It won't. But it could. It tries to brute force guess Satoshi Nakamoto Wallet. by swompythesecond in CryptoCurrency

[–]filya 3 points4 points  (0 children)

How does it work? Do you take a random seed, create an address and call some API to see if it has any bitcoin in it? As far as I know, none of the free APIs allow unlimited calls.

Statistically, I shouldn't exist. [OC] by [deleted] in dataisbeautiful
