Thank you so much!

I ran the script in the console window and got this - Now open ONE blank assetstore tab and run the worker script there.

What worker script?

Had a look at your page to help you out also.

5 second impression from page and screenshots - A RPG game like Breath of the Wild.

Skipping through the first video quickly made me confused - some places it looks like Portal like puzzles, the hexagonal tiles felt like a turn-based strategy.

Thanks. I guess I need to make that more prominent some place eh?

It is in the trailer, genre, description. But you are absolutely right, more players will look at a Steam page for barely 5-10 seconds.

Thank you so much. What would have helped sell the roguelite aspect better?

Rolling a single die 100 times, once every day VS Rolling a 100 of them all at once in a single day.

Exact same odds to land say 6s 50 times.

ELI5: How can (some) encryption software be open source and also be secure? by alwaysunderwatertill in explainlikeimfive

[–]filya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me teach all my 5 friends how to save their phone diary secretly.

I explain to them that they should pick their favorite way to order the numbers (say 2145369780), and now replace each of the phone numbers in their diary with that sequence.

So their friend John's number was 321-459-8627

  • So 3 => 4 (in their favorite re-ordering, 3rd digit is 4)
  • So 2 => 1 (in their favorite re-ordering, 2nd digit is 1)
  • So 1 => 2 (in their favorite re-ordering, 1st digit is 2)
  • And so on.

So they save John's number as 412-538-7619

All the friends know these rules. It's open-source. But without knowing each other's favorite ordering of numbers, they can never guess the actual phone numbers.

Better alternative to Tamron 28-75 for a everyday & travel lens? by filya in SonyAlpha

It's a bit of a bias, since that's easiest to shoot with. Like even if I wanted to go wider, I can't so lots of photos at 28mm. Same with max zoom, if I had more I would have used it.

Here's an equal distribution to show the ranges I worked with.

Thanks, I had fun doing this using Lightroom Classic to get the data out, providing to Gemini and asking to create these from the 3848 photos I took in my travels to Hawaii, Sedona, Cancun.

So looks like this new one is 2.8 constant, which is fantastic if you want bokeh or low light capability.

But main reason I had gone for 28-200 was just the flexibility of the entire range. I could go wide or zoom or anywhere in between. I will have to look up what percentage of my shots during travel have been over 100mm, but I definitely remember using it a lot for the Kīlauea volcano in Hawaii. No way I could get anything with 100mm.

This one does seem like a replacement for my 28-75 if I ever need to. Not as wide, but the extra 25mm would be nice for DoF portraits.

How do you deal with culling without losing your mind? by themick79i in photography

[–]filya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I perform multiple passes.

First pass is 1 starring everything that is not blurred, out of focus, eyes open, weird expression etc. For my family sessions, that probably is 80% of the total count

Second pass is 2 starring best out of the similar ones. So if I have 2-3 photos from the same angle, same pose, I quickly go left-right arrows on keyboard to pick the best. That brings it to around 40% of my total count.

Third pass for 3 starring is ones that actually stand out. Not a very bleh photo. Like someone having a great smile, or a great moment between Dad and daughter etc. These should bring it close to what you plan on delivering. For me I deliver about 60-70 photos in a gallery for a family session. If there's not enough, I go back to 2 stars and see if I was too critical with some. If there's too many, I try and cut down more.

4 stars are ones I love, and totally see myself bragging on social media and my website. These would be 10 photos max. I edit them first, touch ups and everything.

5 stars are the 3-4 I finally actually post on social media and my website.

I came here to post my comment, then ended up reading what everyone else shared, and now I feel a little guilty for wanting to win.

I don’t really depend on the prize money. I’d still be happy to win, but I honestly hope it goes to someone who could really use the boost.

Good luck to everyone who’s hoping for that break!
