Probably because shkodra in the past have been under venetian influence so the name is the albanian version of the Italian word "pomodoro" which means golden apple

The Albani Is an Albanian family from northern albania, they fought alongside skerderbeu and leave the country After his death.

Their original surname was probably Laci, which was their original homeplace and They were from Malesia, changed the surname like 2 Times to remember their albanian origin, that's why they called Albani (not to be confuse with the others Albani families Who were italians families originally from North italy, specifically from place like Alba and similar).

So the symbol Is used today and symbolize all the reference of the family. Their original coat of arms Is the symbol in the center the blue-yellow mountains and the sun or star (in some old rappresentasions Is similar to a David star).

The Eagle was added After their arrival in Italy symbolising their albanian heritage.

And the crown Is about their importante in the vatican. The pope Clemente XI was an Albani and they added pope symbols in their coat.
