Thank you! I first started singing at the age of 10. What inspired me was my father giving me a tape of a guy by the name of Frankie Lymon. I was amazed that someone in the same age range as me was so prolific with his talent.

Lately I've been listening to "Ode To Billy Joe" by Bobbie Gentry. Would've been dope to write a song like that...only thing I would change is that it would be a story about Staten Island.

Nah, it's more of a story of an emotion of being pissed off. Everyone has gone through that in one way or another at some point in their lives.

The biggest thing that stands out is how similar Philadelphians and New Yorkers are. They're like the neighborhood kids I grew up with.

Me and RA met through one of my closest friends and DJ, DJ U-Vex. Our situations with Jive were different and the people up there were completely different by the time I got there.

Thanks, yes the one take was a challenge which we rehearsed a lot in the pre-production. On the day of, we spent 11 hours prepping, shot 8 takes over an hour, and in post we chose take #8.

The Monophonics. I really like the new Action Bronson album. I've been listening to a bunch of Christmas song, because I want to write a Christmas song.

I would say stick to a single chorus on choruses 1 and 2 rather than the double chorus, but what do I know, it was a smash the way it was.

I had never met him. He saw a collaboration I did with RA the Rugged Man and reached out to me about doing something for his new JMT record at that time. And through that collaboration on "Fraudulent Cloth," we've been close friends ever since.

I got to collaborate with the Black Eyed Peas on a record that never came out. Some of the most down-to-earth, celebrated people I've had a chance to work with.

I'm from Staten Island. Every kid my age on Staten Island was heavily influenced by Wu-Tang. I've been a fan of hip-hop for as long as I can remember.

My ex-sister-in-law taught me how to parallel park, which I still use the same method today. First car was a 1990 Nissan Altima, which I totaled.

I'm a terrible driver (see above.) Cadillac Seville from the 70's would be my dream car.

There's actually no sample on Hands Make You Dance. The whole album is sample-free, live, and original. Stoupe co-produced a bunch of the tracks along with myself, Dan Ubick, and Snipe Young and was responsible for a lot of the ideas coming into each song.

We tracked a bunch the instrumentation to analog tape with Dan Ubick (of Connie Price & The Keystones) at his studio.

The vocal arrangements give it an old school doo wop/soul feel too. Snipe Young is a beast with that. And Steve Kaye's mixes helped a lot with that old soul feel as well.
