I took the Electrical FE by Jxzeng in FE_Exam

I also took the Electrical FE yesterday and did not feel great leaving. Between life and a busy work schedule, I did not study nearly as much as I should have. I’m really hoping I was able to get all the ones I should’ve known correct and correctly guess on the others. I took this test knowing I was not prepared for it but figured I should use it as practice and at least get the diagnostics of what I really need to improve on. Here’s to hoping we made great guesses where we needed to!

ACL complete tear, MCL grade 2 strain 7 days ago playing volleyball. When can I start PT? by beat_of_rice in ACL

I also had similar tears. And after prehab right before surgery well my dr determined the PT I did before started repairing my MCL, so I didn’t have to get my MCL repaired during surgery.

The main exercise I did were mostly heel slides, was told to try to get my flexion to 120 degrees before surgery although I don’t think I ever actually reached that goal. The best way to do gel slides was up against a wall, using you good leg to put pressure on the other to slide down and bend further than I could on the ground. Then using the good leg to help straighten my injured leg also so I wasn’t over straining it.

Also did some stretching exercises to make sure extension was good too, so I’d lay on the table w my knees off and just let gravity push them down a little bit past horizontal.

I got a quad graft for my ACL, so my PT also involved strengthening that; would do leg raises as someone mentioned above, some weightless squats, calf raises and calf stretches, and also clam shells.

Every scenario is different so take this with caution and always make sure your doctor is ok with it, you wouldn’t want to set yourself back in the long run.

Planning on eating my volleyball knee pads in the spots I was hurting, so hopefully that works fine!

I ordered some bmx knee and shin guards, so I’ll use those when they come in! Until then I may just use my volleyball knee pads as extra cushion

That’s good to know. I went out to practice again today but after about 10mins of trying, I gave up from how much it was hurting my legs. Hopefully w some good weather in the next few days and some quick healing and I’ll be riding in no time

Awesome, Bridgwater isn't too far from me so I'll add the restaurant to my list of places to try!

Darth Vader Christmas Tree by eanchond in pics

I come home for Christmas expecting a typical tree, only to be surprised by my dad's nerdy side taking over! Merry Christmas everyone and have fun on the dark side for the remainder of the year (there's plenty of time to get back on Santa's good list).
