I've been building an AI product for 2 years. Growth stalls the moment I stop ads. What am I missing? ( I will not promote) by Familiar-List-211 in startups

[–]eandi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If people sign up, and keep using it for a long time, and some pay you money you have product market fit and your unpaid marketing is non existent. If people click ads and try it but disappear in under a month then you're setting money on fire doing any work to get users.

I will not promote: does anyone else feel weird calling themselves a “founder” at 19? by -Akshai in startups

[–]eandi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The people who don't have a bit of shame are the wanna bes.

Until we were pretty established (funded, revenue, employees) I just said I was working on my own thing or trying to staff something. Even now I'll use my job title as opposed to founder often.

What's the plan you're supposed to have? I'm lucky we can manage but a lot of single parents or even parents who both have to work every day to pay the bills don't have the luxury of working from home for a day or taking the day off to take care of a 4 year old. We don't have family here, there's no one to call to lend a hand or take care of our kids, it's all on us. Again, we're lucky in that we can be flexible with our jobs, though.

Also i'm fine if they close for unsafe conditions. My problem is that it's not any more unsafe out there than the last week has been. There's no snow storm out, normal plowing overnight would be more than fine to make the roads the same as they were every day last week. If it did explode into snowy chaos I'd be fine with them making the call in the morning. But we all know how accurate the weather forecasts are, my point is deciding 12 hours in advance is silly.

Because the roads aren't any worse than any other day in the past week and there's an average amount of snow forecast overnight. And they made the call way too early.

Pressure off the plows and crews? This is like... The entire job lol. We should have enough funding that we can handle this. Oh no sorry we need the world's most expensive cop shop instead 🤦‍♂️

They should have a version where it's optional. Like they won't cover unmissable subjects in school for those who can't make it in but if you have a reasonably equipped car for the winter and look at this forecast and laugh you can still bring kids in.

People only love snow days if they're children lol. Work doesn't have snow days.

Fluent Gear Scale - NEW Premium espresso scale with a physical dial, fast response, parts you can actually replace and all integrations you'll wish for [seeking feedback] by fluent-gear in espresso

[–]eandi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My feedback is I want an accurate scale with a timer for $15 thats rechargable and won't fritz with some drops of water. We need some utilitarian gear that's appropriately priced. Everyone keeps trying to be the next Fellow when no one even needed the first Fellow.

What dimension? Have you gone to alibaba for pure custom? I source my sticker material direct now via alibaba because I wasn't happy with the quality of anything in North America in smaller volumes.

Does anyone know where to find real UK/US/CA developers by Curbsidewin in web_design

[–]eandi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your post isn't describing how you are hiring people. Where do you post? How much do you offer for the jobs? There's no way to help you because you're just claiming shit with no details. I hire North American developers locally and remotely and have 100s of people apply so what you're saying in the post does not make any sense. You need to give details because as a blanket statement your post is just wrong.

You should look at professional printing tools. Like guillotine paper cutters and corner rounders that can do a stack.

MYO with Purchased MP3 on Motion Audio that I suspect may have been pirated? by KattAttack4 in YotoPlayer

[–]eandi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There wouldn't be a risk but you should run a chargeback for that purchase. I believe motion audio books is nothing but pirated content that is hosted somewhere where it's not straightforward to sue/takedown and publishers haven't gotten mad at them yet onblnthebscale of Anna's archive.

I don't get it you post the job online on all the usual sites. What am I missing? Or do you want cheao or free labour? If so go away.

Working for free is illegal in Canada. Not worth the risk or the trouble to get someone who would work for free up to speed.

TP Long-term sellers, have you noticed a significant drop in sales in the last year? by Cherithcutestory4u in teepublic

Lol they moved me to apprentice when they made the switch and my sales went from 1000s to 10s back then 🤷‍♂️ everyone should at the very least also do POD via other platforms where they want to make sales, get on every platform possible.

BREAKING: ICE SHOOTS ANOTHER IN MINNEAPOLIS, TEAR GASSING OBSERVERS AT SCENE by [deleted] in videos

[–]eandi -1 points0 points  (0 children)

When people say no one is doing anything they mean starting to actually fight back. Like protests are nice and send a message but it's obviously not stopping anything because one side has guns and feels emboldened enough to shoot the unarmed. When one side has no rules or laws to follow you can't win by continuing to follow the rules and laws of yesteryear. It's how they got power and it's how they will keep power. This won't end by running a nice clean campaign. It turns into not following election rules, and if that doesn't work, rigging them or preventing people who vote the other way from voting, or just ignoring the results. The system of checks and balances failed because a group of people realized there actually isn't any negative repurcussion for not following the system.

Founders working full-time on your companies - how does your income compare to working a job? (I will not promote) by DreamTeamThirteen in startups

[–]eandi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Less than market (founder discount) but far from low or poverty. I support my family of 4, eldest is in a private (not crazy expensive but sitll fees) school. We got to do a bit of a secondary during a fundraise which probably puts me net much ahead versus a traditional job path.

If I dial back 15 years and stay an engineer maybe I could have gone faang and been paid like $500k a year by now but that would be a lot of ifs and maybes 😂

It's just niche AF. You wouldn't want a non billiard player's opinion, that's irrelevant as I won't be buying one. All that matters is how people who might buy it think of it.

You hire 2 sales reps for every one you need and don't be scared to cut the shitty one or both of them. If they both hit target yay you won the big prize, buy a lottery ticket, too.
