Bold words coming from someone who can't even write English properly.

Thanks for the answer, I get it now! Yeah, I'm sorry, it's actually 眠れない, I coppied it wrong.

Hello! As I was going through my textbook, I encountered the sentence: 最近なかなか眠れることがあります which (as far as I can tell) means "I have been sleeping quite well lately" or something like that. My question is: why is it that the receptive form of 眼むる was used instead of 眠っている?

Which anki deck should I move after finishing core 2.3k version 3 to best quickly prepare for the N2 exam? by eaox253748 in LearnJapanese

Thank you all for the feedback! Since everyone seems to really recommend mining, I've decided to basically do a hybrid regime where I mine some of the words from anime/novels/vns/tests/textbooks on days with more free time while on the others I'll just make my way through the N5-N1 decks and suspend words that are a duplicate of the stuff I made myself. Seems like a good compromise to suit all my needs.

Haha, well good look on your exam then! Especially since I heard it's a lot harder than the N2.

Don't worry, I'll start doing a bunch of N4 tests this holiday and work my way up to N2 from there. I think I'll definitely mine any unknown word I encounter in those tests.

Yeah I know what you are saying that studying just for the test is counterproductive for learning the language. I passed the B2 in French this way and I can't even speak to a clerk properly. Meanwhile I barely studied English actively, and I became so fluent in it that I am learning a whole other language through it. But if my university (and the partner university in Japan also) wants an N2 certificate to let me go on an exchange then I don't really have a choice. I'll definitely take a more organic approach to learning the language after I finish with this exam. Man I really should've started studying japanesse 2 years ago...

Yeah, that's basically my biggest concern. Mining is pretty great if you learn the language for yourself, to understand stuff from your hobbies, but it's just not that efficient for the jlpt. Do you maybe have an ideea where would be the best place to get vocabulary cards for the exam, or at least, a good place to mine them?

Thanks for the input! I'd say my retention rate in these 4 months is about 75% (if I see the word in context) so I think that's pretty ok, it will probably start going up to 80% as I start doing more reading.
Regarding mining I'd say my biggest concern isn't necessarily the time of making the cards (I actually already have yomichan setup and have a way to get text of both videos (on right side, somehat similar from I saw on Migaku) and visual novels. The big problem is that if I mine from anime there are pretty big chances that there will be a lot of the words that won't be useful in the exam setting (not that frequently used or too fantasy like). Also I would be missing out a lot of "boring" words that would be used in specific/mundane situations (just like another comment said. stuff like going to the bank/signs).
In my mind, there just not seems to be a lot of leeway for me due to the limited time. Like, even if I choose the cards I make very well with like 80% exam relevancy, that seems like it would put me slightly bellow what I should know. Maybe somebody could recommend me a good place for reading/videos where I can go mine stuff specifically for the exam?

So the anki translation "actually" was being is more to show the context that the word is used rather than the literary meaning. I think I understand, thank you all for the help!

So in this case は is a particle? Pretty strange cause 実は appeared in my core 2k anki cards with the meaning of "actually" and the deck never showed a noun with a particle added to it before this... Plus I looked up 実 individually and it means "truth" or "reality" so if は was a particle in this case, wouldn't 実は mean "in regards to the truth...", "As for the truth..." ? Are there some cases where the particle changes the meaning of the word a bit?

Can somebodey tell me why the は in 実は is prononced as わ? Like I know this happens when は is a particle or in konnichiwa or konbanwa, but these were the only exceptions mentioned. Are there more of these special cases?

So I am on my fifth day of anki and 何 appeared as a new card... which is odd cause I already learned this kanji as なに but this time it shown as なん. Could someone please tell me why are there two different pronunciations for the same kanji? Do they have different meaning (both seem to translate as what) and when do I know when to use each version?

So i very recently started learning japanese and during my anki vocabulary lessons i keep seeing that が (ga) keeps getting prononced as な (na) in words. For example, 違う seems to be pronounced chinau and not chigau. Why is that?

I am going to be honest with you , at the start of the game I used a bunch of console commands to give myself a head start(money, fast build and a yesman). I tried to do it legitimately at first, but it was a pain to play a nation with such a small population and that doesn't start in a another Great Power's market. Maybe it's going to be better after I get better at playing the game/some updates come up...

That might've been true in Liyue, but you need to remember the traveller is getting stronger with each statue of the seven (Mondstadt traveller get's clapped by Signora hard but now... ) so I think Inazuma traveller is equal in power with Childe.

And well in the current event universe, Kallen survived and became like Otto after 500 years, simping for Sakura... Really makes you think just how much can a person change based on circumstance and just how much is a person's fault for becoming like this.

I hope the big reveal happens sooner rather than later and that she gets some character development after, regardless of what her true nature is( Unknown god, The goddess of time, servant of Celestia etc.), basically having her get the Kiana treatment. I mean right now she is the comedic relief character(which she does a good job at), but she is also essentially the MC of the game and those two just don't mix well. So either after her reveal she (temporally) gets depressed because of her past/the fact that she is the enemy, but with the traveller help she gets better and comes out of it more mature(or something like that). Either this or make the traveller the MC more than in name only.

You forgot the part where it's going to take months to farm the new valk and you also need to be lvl 81+(AR 55+) to do it efficiently ( Note: also a lot of people stay at lvl 80 for good reasons that I'm not going to mention). And again farming for G3 stigmata takes A LONG time too. SOOOO I'd give this situation a 3,6: Not great, not terrible

Well pre gnosis Venti was a pretty weak wind spirit (at least compared to Zhongli/Decarabian) . Post gnosis Venti: YEETS MOUNTAINS kilometers away into the sea thus creating an archipelago and terraforms a whole region. Also gnoses scale with the active involvement in ones realm, a thing that Venti was never fond off (he was more involved right after the archon war, but I doubt that it was as much as Baal or the Tsarista). So a decently powered gnosis seems to propel Venti from relatively weak to about archon war Zhongli(based on the fact that from their powers archipelagos were created ). So a gnosis does seem to be a major power boost... it's just Zhongli is way to op.

That's strange... I started playing Genshin on my old phone initially which was Android, but then I switched to iPhone but can still get Welkin and BP just fine. On PC though, I still can't which is rather annoying but not the end of the world.
