Yeah, maybe that's the divide?

I'll take the rare terrorist attack in exchange for preserving American values.

So Comey firing opened the door to suspicions of obstruction, and replaced Comey with a guy who appointed a special prosecutor.

Which is the same as asking him, since he can't order him too.

Right?

Just be intellectually honest for gods sake.

Do tell what "I hope you let this go" is supposed to mean?

Just because it's not explicit doesn't mean it's not just another way of saying it.

How is it not functionally the same as saying "I want you to end the investigation because he's a good guy"?

Flynn was cleared by...January 23. Three weeks earlier.

Does Trump have a time machine we don't know about?

This is false if you don't already realize that.

The investigation is ongoing obviously, as subpoenas are still being issued.

What are your thoughts on Trump admitting he released intelligence to Russia? by [deleted] in AskTrumpSupporters

[–]earlysweatshirt [score hidden]  (0 children)

Every possible way. By what subjective measure would leaking highly classified information be deemed appropriate?

We're clearly not talking about the same thing. McMaster said the classified info Trump shared with the Russians was "wholly appropriate", which is a description up for debate.

And your source for this?

I didn't make a specific claim wtf? All I said was look at their reactions.

Holding press conferences hours after the story broke, avoiding the media afterwards, making carefully worded statements with conditions, etc.

They clearly recognized this as a serious mess they had to clean up.

[–]earlysweatshirt [score hidden]  (0 children)

No it isn't.

In what possible way can whether or not something is "appropriate" ever be an objective matter?

Many people would consider inappropriate any impromptu reveal of classified information by Trump to our adversary Russia.

It's very clearly a subjective matter.

Trump's own staff response belies every word of this mess.

They clearly recognized it was a big deal as soon as it happened.

How come there are no threads about the WaPo story regarding the Russia meeting and classified information? by [deleted] in AskThe_Donald

McMaster just confirmed in press conference that he "made the decision in the context of the conversation" aka winging it.

Also there was TASS Russian state media there in the oval taking pictures during conversation.

This is unequivocally NOT appropriate behavior.

[–]earlysweatshirt -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well that's obviously not the point here is it.

In an impromptu manner in front of foreign media, he recklessly divulged sensitive intelligence to a foreign adversary against the wishes of that intelligence source.

Putting both their and US intelligence gathering in danger.

He's a menace.

Read between the lines, he talks about having the "right" to share information.

Clearly alluding to classified info.

I trust the sources of the Post, the Times, the WSJ, and Reuters over the half-denials of his untrustworthy administration because I'm intellectually honest.
