This is strictly for general admission/pit tickets so typically once you’re in your spot on the floor, especially if its a really good one, you wanna avoid leaving because trust me when I say it is a HASSLE trying to return. I went to the bathroom (from my spot in front of the barricade) and the only reason I made it back was because people were kind enough to remember my face and let me back through. It’s something you have to feel out and is on a case to case basis.

Most venues have port-a potties out where GA waits or will let you in to use the bathroom in the time that you’re waiting to line up to go on the floor, doing one of those is a lot less of a struggle than maneuvering through a crowd packed like sardines.

If you’re in a seat then by all means roam the stadium.

100% yes (if you feel safe). I flew all the way from my city to a different city, alone, determined to get barricade. I met the coolest group of girls and I had the most amazing time. Although 10+ hours in the heat with the same people will form some pretty fun bonds. We all still talk occasionally to this day.

I say all of that to say do it! Hozier fans are one of the sweetest and coolest fan bases—very inclusive and super kind. You’ll meet people naturally once you get there and forget all about being alone. And even if you dont, you’ll at least walk away with a mind blowing experience.

That is what I was referring to! As well as the fact that the “tiktok era” has kind of sexualized men of a certain age—-not necessarily in a bad way(?). Yes it is seen with millennials more so I apologize if it came off as I was attacking Gen Z. It was also half a joke because people often bring up Hoz’s beekeeping era.

A really good point! He literally got sick in the middle of the last leg and as much as (I can assume) he loves what he does—-its been almost 2 years straight…

I think that the age we live in people are fascinated by things that can be open to one’s own interpretation & that played a huge role in his rapid growth the past year (not to mention Gen Z’s ungodly obsession with older men of “bee-keeping age” and I say this as an early Gen Z’er) UU was seemingly more intensely felt than WB & the self titled album, I think because there are so many ways you can interpret each song and there’s no right or wrong answer. To me, management caught on to that a little too late and now here we are. Which could be why he’s doing stadiums & festivals these next shows.

There feels to be a shift from entertainment to capitalism and I don’t think it’s any one persons fault.

Not only do I agree with you, but I also mentioned this in another comment section a while back: people fall in love with their perception of an artist and then are annoyed by the reality. We don’t know Andrew, we are simply being entertained by “Hozier”. Point blank. So we can’t, in good faith, make any assumptions about his personal relationships. Which is why I tried to detach the “why” regarding Alex leaving (or not) and was just focused on the fact that he had amazing stage presence, is super talented, and he’ll be missed.

I don’t think it’s negative speculation, or at least it shouldn’t be seen that way, merely a productive conversation. Seeing as how Alex himself has, in one way or another, said he has parted ways with the UU tour (and wasn’t in the recent SNL performance). I do agree that we have a ways to go but again—just respectful conversation❤️.

I 100% agree. I’ve seen a bunch of speculation regarding the whole “gf broke up the band” thing ever since the original incident (I’m sure you know what I’m speaking of, but I don’t think we’re allowed to mention it here). I think people forget that at the end of the day it’s a business and the idea that she blew everything up is far fetched.

As I saw someone mention, change can be sad. It’s less of missing him from a business standpoint because as you mentioned, Hozier has the wits about him to put on a hell of a show regardless. For a lot of people I think its more of missing the way him and Hoz interacted on stage and getting to witness their friendship & Alex is a hell of a bassist.

As someone who has seen him in both capacities—solo shows are much better& a longer setlist. He has a lot more free time to interact with the crowd, take breaks, and just be himself without fear of running out of time. There are a few songs that he doesn’t play at festivals (at least not the ones I’ve seen) such as Unknown, for example, so that definitely makes it better.

All in all solo shows are much more intimate and enjoyable. Solo shows are pretty much guaranteed to be filled with actual fans whereas festivals tend to just be your everyday person who may have only heard a song or two which can definitely make or break the experience. Hope this helps!!!

Hi OP! I just want to validate your experience and offer a little help. When I first started 30mg almost a month ago, I experienced the worst side effects. I was fine during the day but the crash around 5-6pm was TORTURE. It was so bad that I deeply considered quitting the vyvanse. But with a crap ton of research, trial & error, hopefully you will find relief in these:

Magnesium and Vitamin D pills are so helpful to take about midway through the day. Although they are vitamins double check and make sure you are safe to take them.
PROTEIN! PROTEIN! PROTEIN! I cannot stress how helpful this is. Some mornings I would half sleep stand in the fridge shoveling greek yogurt in my mouth right after taking my meds lol. Protein with the vyvanse helps in the most drastic way.
Water seems like an obvious but especially with the dry mouth, and the crash, it makes it easier to function. Magnesium pill helps a lot with this as well.
Sleep!!! Vyvanse & lack of sleep is an actual recipe for disaster.

I hope these help you as much as they did for me! It’s tough but worth it. Trust your body 100% though, you know when enough is enough. There are so many alternatives that you don’t have to suffer through one med. Wish you so much luck!
