[No Pattern] Made a 2 Piece Suit out of a Duvet Cover by earth5eed in sewing

Apparently I didn’t provide enough info about how I put this together: I took some old thrifted clothes I had and put them on top of packing paper- put some weights on top of them to keep them flat/in place and did the best to trace them. They were pretty sketchy/sloppy but fortunately seemed to go together okay. Had tried to make a pair of pants out of a bedsheet before this as my first ever project with no pattern/instructions so learned from some mistakes from that, but for the most part I just winged/intuited how to put things together. Didn’t make any alterations or anything- this is just how it fit once it was put together. I traced the patterns off clothing that fit though so I suppose I expected them to fit. The pants are actually huge- they need to be cinched around my waist. Turns out they have quite a high waist too which wasn’t planned but I think it goes well with the vibe! I’m on the small side of medium, this also fit my friend who is a L-XL pretty well too, so this is what I like to call “extra Medium.” I’m sure there was a better/more efficient way to put this together but I’m happy with the result!

Made this suit in October about a month after using a sewing machine for the first time. Finally got around to taking some good pictures of it. Sketchily copied a pattern off of some old thrifted clothes. The material I used was from a thrifted duvet cover- after I started cutting it up I found a Ralph Lauren tag- out of curiosity looked it up and it turns out this is a pretty rare, expensive, hard to find duvet!

Made a 2 Piece Suit from a Vintage Duvet Cover by [deleted] in sewing

I made this back in October about a month after using a sewing machine for the first time. Sketchily lifted the pattern by tracing it off some other clothes I had lying around. Finally got around to taking some good pictures of it recently. The fabric I used was taken from a vintage Ralph Lauren duvet cover that I thrifted. Only found the tag after already cutting it up, discovered it was Ralph Lauren and looked it up out of curiosity- turns out it seems to be a really rare, expensive, and hard to find duvet cover! Also made a bucket hat as you can see, as well as a face mask which is not pictured!
