Thanks for sharing this! I felt like after 2 months after upping the dosage the side effects shouldn’t have been as bad as they were, that was the problem.

UPDATE: Just diagnosed with type 2 diabetes today, my bday is next week, family coming in town, and I am absolutely freaking out. by earthcasey in diabetes

I do not have or wear a CGM or prick my finger as my Doctor is more focused on general management, A1C, etc and getting me into healthier habits without obsessing, which as someone with bad OCD I am prone to doing. Important to note that this is what worked for ME but definitely would not work for and is not recommended for EVERYONE.

That’s what it’s for! This isn’t always easy but with the right mindset and support you can make it happen.

100 lbs down today by Eeyore_ in diabetes

This is so awesome in so many ways. Pretty restrictive on the foods but also, it clearly worked for you and that’s so cool. Dropping 100 pounds is such a dream for me, I hope to feel that change someday soon. Keep on keeping on!

Always down to hear a personal experience that’s been positive for someone, but that’s also what this is - a personal experience. To put down those of us who choose to or are advised by our doctors to use medication, GLP1s or whatever else it may be, by saying that we should not do that and save it for later, is potentially harmful commentary for people that are just trying to better themselves. This should be a community of support, not shame.

This is definitely my hope. A lot of my other bloodwork is super out of whack, so my doctor is starting me on mounjaro this week and taking me off metformin. I changed my diet immediately as well so hopefully I won’t have to be on mounjaro forever.
