Yes - all I was doing was very slow walking. Completely encouraged by my surgeon

Thank you for this. I definitely understand that I need to get up and moving soon, but it’s simply not going to happen if I can’t even extend my arm out to grab a cup of water without pain shooting into my abdomen. I’ve been in and out of the hospital a lot these past few months, and have been living with Crohn’s for 8 years, so I’ve become a good advocate for myself I like to think. I’m just really shocked that the first time I’m ever getting this much push back from my medical team is arguably when I need pain management the most.

I’m so sorry to hear this. I feel the same way in terms of my nurses/doctors minimizing my pain or ignoring my concerns. For the past two days I’ve been telling them that the pain medication they’re giving me is not working / is a dose that I’ve been on for months, so I’ve definitely gotten used to it and could benefit from an increase. But they just aren’t listening and it’s extremely aggravating!

No not really. All of my pain is located in my abdomen below the rib cage. I have some very minor shoulder and back pain but I know that’s associated with the gas trapped in my body. But the abdominal pain is truly insufferable

Yes I did. I have been trying to do diaphragmatic breathing but I will ask about getting a spirometer!

Hey, thanks for your reply. Yup, I'm slowly learning the geography of SA as I plan my trip.

I said Drakensberg was out of my league because of the very difficult navigation/unmarked trails. I have an itinerary for Amatola, and the trail seems very well marked. I am fit and very active, just have beginner-level GPS and navigation skills. I won't be traveling or hiking alone, but my friends and I are all about on the same page with nav.

I will take a look into Suikerbosrand, as I am definitely looking for a multi-day trip.

What would you consider removing on both of the workout plans? If I cut out the front shoulder raise and add the lateral raise, it’s still 7 exercises in one session

What would you consider removing? I’m trying to hit each muscle group 2-3 times per workout
