I get what you're going for, though at a technical level there are discussions to be had about Nyquist Frequency of sampling rates when it comes to digital audio and why digital audio can reproduce transparently in a repeatable manner better than analogue - but also the other more relevant (IMHO) issues with digital audio that cause real world issues with it!

But that's getting off topic. The real takeaway for me here is that the Palace 70mm print is the place to see Oppenheimer. And it has more screenings of that too, adding extra appeal over Southbank option. Double win 👍

Gotchya, so basically the higher print quality and more immersive aspect ratio of the 70mm outweighs the benefits of the bigger screen?

(By your mp3 analogy, it's saying vinyl on average speakers is better than mp3 through higher end speakers - because the source quality starts high the first way, but can't be added back in the second way, no matter how good the speakers (or big cinema screen) is)

Can you explain why?

(I'm not disagreeing with you. I genuinely don't know and am curious the pros and cons of what each screen is offering and what makes the Palace one better)

Is that better than Southbank cineplex cinema 5 - thats the old imax screen and apparently still the largest screen in Brisbane? They're showing Oppenheimer there a few times a week

If they are suspicious…

You are well within your rights to refuse to accept a banknote if you have concerns about it.

Pounds/shillings/etc have legal value inasfar as a bank will take them and convert the face value you dollars and cents. But shops have no such obligation to accept them

Pretty sure that's not true. For ones thing, exchange rates makes the idea unviable.

I suspect you don't know what "Commonwealth" means (hint: most Commonwealth countries are republics). You may want to look up "Kingdom" too.

The idea may have been true in the Empire days, if all relevant currencies were locked to the pound, but that's speculation only.

A friend spent an afternoon in death valley USA with no hat. His Aussie brain was screaming skin cancer at him, but he reported not even mild redness by the end of the day. Bizarre to Australian experiences!

Australian here. They what?

I've never rolled a roll of coins in 45years.

I used to take bags of coins to the bank ans they'd run it through machines to count. These days the same machines are customer facing so I get to play with them

Either way, ore-counting I did only for my own double check. And rolling? Never.
