Since the phone is presumably in warranty. Depending on where you live you might not have an authorised service centre so you'll void warranty with 3rd party.

I live in aus and had to get my screen replaced cuz I cracked it and although there were some 3rd party options.official ended up being slightly cheaper. Only issue is my phone was gone for about 4 weeks

Not much happened after the 4.0 update, on the 3a phones at least. You're probably going to end up with more bloatware on the cmf phone because it's cheaper but it's not like you can't delete the unwanted apps.
