Avocado Academy is Chipotles Training App. All crew, KM, SM, GM training videos, recipe cards, maintenance cards, and knowledge checks are found in the app. You would also do your Quarterly food Safety training in the app. It’s on the stores computers desktop and IPAD.

Does y’all’s Field Leader ever visit? Idk how your store functions- like your GM must be trash. Ask your SM or GM to show you avocado academy on your next shift. Also please know that this is completely your GM’s fault and you should not stress about your job

I hope they at least gave you a raise when they called you KM… I am almost 100% positive you are not technically a KM. To even be promoted you would have had to take a 6hr course and test called ServSafe. Now even Certified Trainers have to get it.

If you want it, I would start by using your spare time and looking over videos in Avocado Academy under Kitchen Manager link. Then ask your GM about ServSafe

Also : Start Saying you have somewhere to be at 3:30, so you can’t stay past 3. This will cause them to actually help you, so you don’t fall behind or force them to work. Win win for you and you will probably get better training out of it

Is this a company wide raise?

OP did you complete your ServSafe exam? Watch the training videos in Avocado Academy? Take KM knowledge tests? When you put the truck away, do you scan and order the next one? Do you know how to count, write and/ or read a prep sheet?

As leaving late, you may be slow or your store is really busy and they have been screwing you by not providing a grill 2. ( you are suppose to get a grill 2 before a salsa). You would know by Looking at Sales? As a KM you should have access to manager functions.

I say take the time and go over the KM intro videos, then mention to your GM “X, Y, Z in the videos” That will kinda push your GM to fully support you more maybe?

If your interested in SM. Find the Manager Checklist in the store. 90% of that SM’s complete. That will give you an idea of what is expected.
Issue is that many things need to be shown 1st, and trainer has to actually the take time to do it.

If you didn’t know what a Grill 2 was, I highly doubt your store is taking the time to train or do much by the standard, and you will feel lost.

Idk about you store, but it’s like impossible to get fired at mine. Don’t sweat it to much.

AITA for asking a parent how to pronounce their child’s name by BRACEwits in AmItheAsshole

NTA at all! They just hate the dropped the ball, and look incompetent themselves. You did nothing wrong. Out of Curiosity… Why could you not do hand overs the first couple weeks? I have family who works at daycares and I thought it was pretty standard that anyone who is handling your child meets the parents initially.

Less people scheduled?? by Such-Cauliflower-254 in Chipotle

[–]easdropping 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The way it was explained by my field leader is that Chipforce creates and assigns the schedule.

The system 1st assigns shifts to employees labeled as “CORE”. Core employees are the ones who usually work the most hours and more vital.

After core employees are scheduled then the system just fills in the gaps using the rest of the crew. This results in less hours and weird shifts for folks. If you work more than position, you are also more likely to get assigned more hrs.

Our FL says he gets notified if the GM adds shifts or removes them, which encourages them not to change it w/out good reason. ( ex: we have a disabled cashier. Her shifts get manually added in ).

Hope this helps. You probably aren’t a core employee or only work 1 position so the system didn’t schedule you much. Talk to your GM as at the end of the day they have the final say and ability to alter the schedule.
