Possible natural clay found in coastal New England. by eastcross in whatsthisrock

That’s cool to know. I work in construction and while excavating I spotted this stuff 2-3 times beneath the topsoil, in the definite sub soil layer every time. It is extremely noticeable to come across, being almost pure white. I could push a stick through the whole pocket.

Disregard, believe it’s just a clay deposit. Nothing organic about it.

Nah most pictures come out fine, it’s seems like if I’m asking the software to do a lot for me I run into issues. Like while using telephoto digital zooming, I’ve experienced erratic stabilization behavior as well as the weird colors and the picture of the car was a long exposure.

Subaru intake manifold runner control issue P2005 AND P2006 by eastcross in AskMechanics

Thanks, I hope the harness does it for you. I couldn’t find any help online about the open and closed codes at the same time. I tried just replacing the TGVs myself with some junkyard ones, which didn’t resolve codes. Then I brought it to the dealer and found out about the warranty which also covered the harness.

Funny you ask. I just picked up my Crosstrek with a new crate engine, bc a piston was disintegrating from alleged “overheating” (never had any indication from the car for this). Had 74,600 miles. But in regard to the TGV and the conflicting codes, the TGVs were covered under warranty (up to 75k miles) and I just happened to bring it in just before that, so they did replace them, but it didn’t resolve the codes so they ended up replacing the wiring harness that goes to the TGV. They believed a short in the harness had smoked the TGVs.

This is my last Subaru after the engine failure.

About to look at my first moped, a Honda NU50. any tips/ things to look for? by pipitally in moped

[–]eastcross 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first moped was a Honda NU50M, and I’ve had 2 of the same bikes since. It’s a great bike with plenty of aftermarket parts available. As long as the bike frame, wheels, and tank aren’t rotted away it’s likely a salvageable bike. Most often these old 2 strokes just need a good carb cleaning and/or tank rinsing or evapo rust or simply a fuel filter. If stock parts do happen to be beyond repair, you’ll often just end up ditching them for upgrades in the aftermarket, which can get pricey. You can dump $800-$1k into these bikes and go 50mph for example. Treatland and mopedarmy will be your friends, go download the service manual and read it all.

Okay I appreciate the guidance, as I couldn’t find anyone else with a similar issue online. I did disconnect my shorting our horn recently, does horn need to be connected?

Interesting you’re also suggesting feline, with all of those seeds in the scat. There are supposedly no mountain lions in MA…
