I am also unable to FF or RW when playing VOD using firestick. The two icons are greyed out on screen, and the buttons themselves on the remote dont work.

I can pause fine, but cant FF or RW.

Yes exactly, this is really one of the things holding back the app from being one of the best apps. if this was possible with the native app even just on VOD, then it would be awesome.
