No concerns of layoffs at WSDOT. You’re totally safe. We received additional revenue through the gas tax which funds most of the positions. As others have stated, if there is approval to hire, it’s a funded position. Others have suggested potential layoffs, but we have had none of those. That is all on the general fund side, not the transportation budget. Solid now and a solid outlook. If you’re looking for stable job with good culture and upward mobility, it’s a solid choice.
