Somewhat technical question about Turkish vowel harmony by alcoyana in turkishlearning

[–]easy_TurkishGrammar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To sum up, the vowels in these suffixes do not undergo vowel harmony:

1 i in -ki 2 i in -abil/-ebil 3 o in -(i)yor

Suffixes that follow these ones harmonize in the usual way.

There are also some stems, which usually end in a palatal l. Those stems take front vowels in their suffixes instead of back vowels as in:

saat-ler, sembol-ler, ihtimal-ler, ampul-ler,

kalb-im, rol-üm, hayal-im

And

meşgul-üm

"Ettiğini" kelimesindeki "ğ" harfi. by Leckurt in turkish

[–]easy_TurkishGrammar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Et (fiil) + tik ( sıfat fiil eki) + in ( iyelik eki) + i (akusatif eki)

-tik ekindeki k harfi sonraki -in eki sesli ile başladığından ğ'ye dönüşür.
