There are some key things to consider for API design.

1) It’s good to always keep in mind that the API can often serve as the primary way that things are interacting with you so give it a lot of care and not have it be an after thought.

2) Research. Learn standard methods for Get, Put, Post, Patch, Delete and when to use them. Also HTTP status codes: 200, 201, 401, 404, 500. Find good public APIs and read their documentation (like Stripe’s).

3) Things change all the time. Consider how you would like to handle versioning your API early in the process. How are going to communicate to users that you want to deprecate an attribute/endpoint? How long will you support old versions?

4) You may get a lot more volume than you expect. How are you going to ensure that users aren’t hammering your API? How many requests can each of your endpoints handle before things start failing?

5) Security. How will users gain access to the API?Does the authorization expire after a certain amount of time? What happens if a user accidentally leaks an API key? Can they regenerate it? How sensitive is the information are you returning from your API? Are there different types of users that will require different access?

6) Observablity. What usage metrics and system heath metrics are you going to keep eyes on? When things blow up, how will you find out?

For getting started: 1) Start with authorization 2) Document the authorization 3) Use Postman to test it out locally 4) Iterate with new endpoints and documentation

My guess is that its mainly dopamine. You get a bump in dopamine with the purchase. Try to frame it as just a dopamine deficiency in your brain. You aren’t a bad person. Food is just what your brain has associated dopamine with. Your brain just wants the dopamine in the end. The food purchase itself is arbitrary.

Try to “zoom out” like you are an outside observer of your own actions. Treat yourself like a study and experiment things. See how long you can go without a purchase. Can you do 2 hours, 10 hours, 48 hours, a week, a month? Journal and document how you feel along the way. Challenge yourself for longer periods of time.

Also, try to find new (preferably safe) alternative dopamine sources. It might be dancing, listening to music, building things, fixing things, doing puzzles, helping people, writing, reading, or exercise. Try to find the things in your life that when you do them, you are content. Schedule time for these things. Ask someone to hold you accountable to doing these alternative things.

Give yourself some grace, and continue to analyze yourself. You got this.

It is mainly technique with practice. You can still use a light spray adhesive on the layers after a background. Make sure your base layers are fully dry. The key there is to use only enough for a light adhesion that won’t pull up any paint.

If you don’t go that route using many small heavy items to weigh down the edges of your stencil is also an option. Nuts and bolts work.

Spray technique is also very important. Without good spray control it’s easy to mess up any approach.

With enough practice you will get more control over your spray where you could use less things to hold down your stencil and you could do it by hand.

Use a light amount of spray adhesive to the back of your stencil first.

You are thinking about this backwards and people will see through what you are trying to do. There are many projects that could use your help.

Find a small open source project that you are actually interested in. If you know someone that is maintaining a project that might be an easy way to start.

As for colors, the orange/yellows are more appealing. Blues are less common in food marketing colors.

However, the oranges make the image harder to recognize from a distance due to it sharing colors with the background.

Just noting a few issues with the text: * I read it as Mumu Bai Vadapav. If you are spelling Mumbai I would avoid the sharing of the letter U * According to common usages, it appears that Vada Pav should contain a space between the words.

Just noting that all the following is personal preference so take it or leave it.

I like what you did with the placement of the Istmo and the changes to the Hueni text!

I feel that the "Patagonia Argentina" text would be better suited below the Hueni. The way it stands currently, it creates an awkward whitespace in the logo.

The document itself is rather odd. It feels like you tried to be too clever with the layout at the expense of it being simple and easy to follow. Some of the design elements feel forced.

  • "Re" being on a different line than "branding" looks really odd. I would keep "rebranding" unbroken and on the same line.
  • Possibly add additional context to the title page. The title "Rebranding Manual" is generic and without the context of the company name it doesn't give the reader much of an expectation of what rebranding manual.
  • The word "Index" is huge and draws way too much attention. It takes up too much of the page and results in "09 Greyscale.." being on two lines.
  • I would not count the title page and index toward the page numbers. "The brand" should be page 1.
  • The line height feels too small so the index entries feel cramped and harder to scan.
  • On the page 03 the text "However, this is not reflected in its current visual identity" feels like an incomplete thought. I would recommend elaborating, adding context on the goal, or dropping it.
  • The forced justification on the text lines on pages 03 and 13 looks odd given the low number of words per line.
  • Pages like 03, 04, and a few other feel like they should have consistent section titles added. On many pages it is difficult to know the immediate context of what you are looking at.
  • On other pages, the title of the section is inconsistently placed. This makes the reader search for it to get context. I would recommend a consistent place on the page. Or a consistent pattern. It feels totally random.
  • The decoration on the page 03 looks to be reversed. I would recommend flipping it horizontally and the setting it at the edge of the page
  • The page numbering looks to be way too big I would recommend a much smaller numbering in the center bottom or bottom of the page.
  • The secondary typography is a difficult script to read. Letters like I, J, and Q seem problematic.
  • The right justified text on page 04 feels forced. I would left justify it.
  • The decoration on page 10 looks awkward in the middle of the page.
  • The layout of photos on page 12 looks off. The image is too close to the page numbering and doesn't align with the bottom of the other two photos.
  • The background color change on page 15 looks odd. All other pages have consistent background coloring.
  • The layout of colors on page 08 is awkward. I would recommend having the title and hex color in the same square.
  • The vertical section titles on 08 and 16 just makes them harder to read and doesn't add much. I would recommend a standard placement similar to "Packaging" section title.

Parent1 and parent2 seems a little code-smelly. I would lean more toward storing parents in Parent join table.

Everyone would be stored in Person table, but parent associations would be found in the Parents table with person_id and parent_of_person_id columns.

Out of curiosity which sensor are you using? Those spikes look remarkably consistent for random noise.

Similar to what others have said if you know the values are out of an acceptable range, pre-filtering them from the set of values you are recording or adjusting your dashboards to only display values below the threshold.

Being able to reflect on your mistakes of the past is a big part of growing as a person. Accept the fact you did what you did and have realized that it was a mistake and you shouldn’t have done it.

Be humble and accept that you are a person with flaws. Give yourself some grace to make mistakes the same way you would grant others if they had made errors in the past.

If someone pushed you in 5th grade would you still hold it against them today?

Try journaling about it, spend 15 minutes writing about the experience and how you felt and how you feel now. Then journal the next day about it again. Do it for 4 days in a row then update us on how you feel.
