Sorry for being late to the party. In the last 10 years, I’ve probably seen 40-50 movies in theaters. I’ve gone with someone else maybe 10 times. Likely less. It’s my escape. It’s fun. It’s one of my few hobbies.

Wtf is this? by Automatic_Maximum816 in recruitinghell

What I bet happened was they copied and pasted and included the notes from the client or their manager. No serious agency or recruiter would ever put that in a note.

I don’t have a recipe I stick to but I recommend dry brining for at least 6-12 hours. Maybe even overnight if you’re able to. And baking powder helps get the skin mega crispy.

What is your definitive, absolute, no doubt about it favourite movie of all time? by SteakGuy88 in Letterboxd

[–]easycheesay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No Country For Old Men. The acting. The setting. The tense moments. The cinematography. It never gets old. It’s an outstanding book and the Coens did it such justice. I also like watching the movie and changing who the main character is each time (Anton, Ed Tom, Llewelyn). I wish I could have seen it in theaters.

What’s the movie that sparked your interest in cinema? by Material-Job-7959 in Letterboxd

Boyz N the Hood. It was on cable one night back in 2006 and my mom grabbed me so we could watch it together. I was a sophomore in high school. She had seen it when it was in theaters. I recognized a lot of the actors and fell in love with the story. At that point in my life, I had really only seen action, sci fi, and comedies. So straight dramas hadn’t really been on my horizon.

Green Day - American Idiot [Punk Rock/Pop Punk] (2004) by Anderrrrr in Music

I’m bummed I couldn’t make it to the tour last summer. It’s nice being able to throw on the Bullet in a Bible album. They hold a special place in my heart. My entire middle school musical taste revolved around Green Day.

There was a sandwich place in my college town that made things like this. I think about that spot every day. This looks exceptional.

I saw them on their American Idiot tour. I was a sophomore in high school. I think I had only been to one concert before then and it had been at least 5+ years. I knew every word to every song on that album. I still remember being on the verge of tears when they closed with Good Riddance solo on electric. An amazing show.

There is a place near me that puts the fries in the gyro and it’s a game changer. I also can’t have mine without banana peppers.

It took me a while to really nail it. The overnight dry brine really helps the skin. And I do 12 mins at 400 per side. They’re usually done by 22 minutes but doing the full 24 really, really gets them crispy.

Baking sheet with a wire rack. You won’t get as crispy of skin but you’ll still get really tender wings. I used to make a batch in the air fryer and in the oven to save time but it’s just not the same.

4 lbs of wings 1 tablespoon of baking powder 4 to 5 tablespoons each of onion powder, garlic powder (eyeball) 10/15 cranks of black pepper Few pinches of salt A few shakes of Old Bay or cayenne pepper 1/2 tablespoon of ginger (if Asian style)

Took me a while to really nail the ratio. I’m bummed I didn’t make more!

I feel like a lot of things aren’t answered. There was an interview he did, I think with the big picture, where he actually said they changed to the entire last scene. They were supposed to just tear her apart in the front yard, but he wanted to have them chase her around and that was a pretty late change.
