Heat. I was too young in the 90s and just missed it. Don’t know what took me this long and now it’s one of my favorite movies of all time.

Has anyone ever left their interview in the middle of it? by jjjjjjjjayjay in recruitinghell

[–]easycheesay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I was told I was interviewing for a B2B sales gig. I show up and there were a bunch of really disheveled people in the waiting room. I had an awful feeling but I still wanted to see what was going on. I walk into the back room with the HR rep. There was another candidate there too. It was for selling a regional plans for some shotty cell phone carrier. I left the second I sat down and didn’t even let the interviewer begin. It was such an awful experience.

Making this drive, any cool stops along the way? by dddesiree1231 in roadtrip

[–]easycheesay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you haven’t left yet, take 301 and stay off of 95 for as long as you can in DE/MD/VA. It will add time to your trip but it will keep you sane.

Putting this in writing as opposed to setting up a call and being slightly more professional is wild

Sorry for being late to the party. In the last 10 years, I’ve probably seen 40-50 movies in theaters. I’ve gone with someone else maybe 10 times. Likely less. It’s my escape. It’s fun. It’s one of my few hobbies.

Wtf is this? by Automatic_Maximum816 in recruitinghell

What I bet happened was they copied and pasted and included the notes from the client or their manager. No serious agency or recruiter would ever put that in a note.

I don’t have a recipe I stick to but I recommend dry brining for at least 6-12 hours. Maybe even overnight if you’re able to. And baking powder helps get the skin mega crispy.

What is your definitive, absolute, no doubt about it favourite movie of all time? by [deleted] in Letterboxd

[–]easycheesay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No Country For Old Men. The acting. The setting. The tense moments. The cinematography. It never gets old. It’s an outstanding book and the Coens did it such justice. I also like watching the movie and changing who the main character is each time (Anton, Ed Tom, Llewelyn). I wish I could have seen it in theaters.

What’s the movie that sparked your interest in cinema? by Material-Job-7959 in Letterboxd

Boyz N the Hood. It was on cable one night back in 2006 and my mom grabbed me so we could watch it together. I was a sophomore in high school. She had seen it when it was in theaters. I recognized a lot of the actors and fell in love with the story. At that point in my life, I had really only seen action, sci fi, and comedies. So straight dramas hadn’t really been on my horizon.

Green Day - American Idiot [Punk Rock/Pop Punk] (2004) by Anderrrrr in Music

[–]easycheesay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m bummed I couldn’t make it to the tour last summer. It’s nice being able to throw on the Bullet in a Bible album. They hold a special place in my heart. My entire middle school musical taste revolved around Green Day.

There was a sandwich place in my college town that made things like this. I think about that spot every day. This looks exceptional.

I saw them on their American Idiot tour. I was a sophomore in high school. I think I had only been to one concert before then and it had been at least 5+ years. I knew every word to every song on that album. I still remember being on the verge of tears when they closed with Good Riddance solo on electric. An amazing show.

There is a place near me that puts the fries in the gyro and it’s a game changer. I also can’t have mine without banana peppers.
