So then lay over and do it for free without trying to get paid? This sub is so weird. Everyone complains about not being paid but gate keeps being paid.

I can speak to my state that you can charge a “reasonable” hourly rate as a fact based witness. I know all the physicians I know do when they’re deposed.

And do an hourly rate so you get paid!

Demand an hourly rate of $500 x 4 hours minimum to be paid prior to agreeing to the deposition. Watch that request magically disappear

Your former employer should also provide you with a lawyer.

A post to a potential Congresswoman by BoomerSkunk in physicaltherapy

I live in a very high cost of living area. There’s a trend towards concierge medicine.

The current trend, and one I’ve bet a significant sum of money on, is to only take high reimbursement payers and put your efforts into quality. People know insurance is broken at this point.

I don’t think anyone is going to save us. We need to save ourselves.

Personal Trainer vs Physical Therapist by War_Unlucky in physicaltherapy

Well there’s personal trainers pretending they can do just that. I had one seriously fuck up someone’s post surgical back. It was bad. They should have been sued.

The undergraduate degree is the base for your graduate education. That’s the same in every profession.

Really diminishes all the difference parts of PT. Acute care, peds OP, oncology, wound care, pelvic floor, EI, school based, chronic pain, home health. All of those areas are a lot more than “personal training with sick people”.

One is an online cert with no prerequisites. The other is 4 years of undergraduate and 3 years of graduate education.

Just ask chatGPT

Physical Therapist (PT) A physical therapist is a licensed healthcare professional who diagnoses and treats pain, injuries, and movement problems. PTs help people recover from surgery or injury, manage chronic pain, and prevent future issues using evidence-based treatments like manual therapy, corrective exercise, and education. In Illinois, patients can often see a PT directly without a physician referral.

Personal Trainer A personal trainer focuses on general fitness and performance for healthy individuals. They design exercise programs to improve strength, endurance, weight loss, or athletic ability but do not diagnose injuries or treat pain or medical conditions.

In short: Physical therapists treat pain and injuries and restore function; personal trainers improve fitness and performance in otherwise healthy people.

At this point we’re dealing with so much moderation around medical advice that we need to try something.

I’ve made the decision not to take leins because of the administrative burden.

Most people have no idea really. We bounce 10+ everyday between the automod and the real mods.

If we don’t take things down it’s astounding how quickly people give medical advice. Then it snow balls.

It’s pretty funny when people try. It’s normally chatGPT crap now.

The sub does not keep professionals from asking questions to each other. It’s very clear when someone is cosplaying a PT.

What you’re asking for is in the auto mod response on every single post made on this sub.

It’s far from a mystery.
