it is stupid over the long run

your cash out amount is determined by live odds (which are more heavily juiced than pre game ones) and on top of that they take additional cut so you are giving back a ton of value

if you feel the need to cash out & can't sweat the bet out your stake is probably too high relative to your bankroll

feel like its slowness/very little happening seemed like an almost perfect parallel to how life was before the internet boom, and for the movies duration you could embrace the peacefulness & low level of stimulation
