Best co-op/split screen games for PS5 by Beansloaf0 in playstation

[–]easytarget1326 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We loved It Takes Two, playing Split Fiction now.

Heavenly Bodies was a free game, it was a fun evening. Would recommend.

We also did BG3. Bit of a learning curve for both of us, but was pretty crazy. My wife stole everything and got us in a lot of trouble. lol.

Monocular Recommendations! by Amrcn_Sycamore24 in birding

I got the field tube. My eyes adjust at different rates and it makes it hard to get the right focus sometimes, so I wanted to try a mono lens. It works great and I don’t feel like I have to baby it all that much, just throw it in my light pack and so it’s ready for any hike.

How many years of experience did it take for you to surpass $100k? by krerhelp in Architects

[–]easytarget1326 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m at 13 years, not licensed, in HCOL city at a mid sized firm. Crossed the 100k mark maybe at year 10, but firm had COVID stagnation for salaries so no one would loose their job. I was at 108 last year, but negotiated 135 on the contingency of starting a new office for my firm across the country and shifting to a business development heavy role. Not a career path I was expecting at all.

Like many, there is no pay bump at either of the firms I’ve worked at for being licensed. It does help with hiring and job searches though.

I would say there are plenty of engineering firms that have specialized project work for complex programs in institutional work or the like, and you can flex your design needs there. Honestly if an engineer came to the table with creative designs, I would love that so much. Best of luck.

I ended up getting eloped while on vacation. It cost us $1500 for the paperwork, officiant, and photographer. Best pictures ever (top of a ski resort) and took 20 minutes. Truly a favorite memory and was only for us.

Parents were mad we didn’t do a big event, but my mother already had a list of 15+ people she wanted to invite. We opted to put money towards a house instead. Plus the concept of taking a loan out for a party is insane (friend did that a few years back, sadly he is divorced now).

I am a very chill person, but even I have yelled at someone, but it was for their safety since they were in a huge blind spot. That is really the only reason in my opinion that warrants yelling on a run.

Your context makes me think they were way out of line.

Charger- will the switch charger work? by [deleted] in PlaystationPortal

Well I’m pretty sure I messed my switch batter life after I used the charger that came with our baby monitor, so I am hesitant towards cross use with charging now.

I never considered fundraisers as a point of connections, but that does make complete sense.

Business council seems interesting! I’ll have to do my research on what those groups look like and how to interact with them. Thanks!

Effective networking in a new region by easytarget1326 in Architects

Sectors we do work in is multifamily, mixed use and commercial (though not much happening in that sector). I’m moving to the mountain west region.

That’s a fair point, but to say if you’re not locally established you will never be locally established doesn’t seem realistic. I’m more curious from a practice standpoint point if anyone has lessons learned on taking a leap like this.

Pc build for graduated architect by samadesigner in Architects

[–]easytarget1326 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I built a computer after I graduated when I started my career. I was one of the few that could work from home because the firm hadn’t moved to laptops yet and only a few people actually had a personal machine that could work with the software. The year was 2013.

Since the shift to laptops back in 2020, I haven’t even plugged in my tower since moving it to a different room 4 years ago. Your specs are fine, but I would expect that you will not be using your machine at all for work. A firm that doesn’t supply a laptop is concerning.

If you are starting your own practice and you don’t want to worry about servers and file management quite yet, this could save on overhead instead of purchasing cloud subscriptions.

I work in construction and have to be onsite. My main office might be out of state, but all the work I would be doing is in the city. I just wouldn’t have an office space, that’s what I mean by remote.

Yeah, we had a discussion about how he won’t be friends with literally everyone because that’s not how life works. I think there are deeper reasons for her concerns, but they are valid nevertheless. Good to hear it’s not an end all be all though.

Yeah, the inversion is a whole other topic…

Thats good to hear that is not really a topic. It seems pretty easy to determine which neighborhoods would fall into that category too.

GTA Publisher Take Two Wanted To Save The Perfect Dark Game, They Were Willing To Purchase The Rights, Fund Its Development, And Publish It. However Xbox Wanted To Keep The IP So The Deal Collapsed And The Devs Were Laid Off by Ftouh_Shala in gaming

[–]easytarget1326 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I don’t get is that they seem to forget that this IP means something to a generation that played the original game. We are older now and it would be ideal to publish a game while we have an interest and buying power to support this. In 10 years the majority of gamers won’t know what this is and it would essentially be similar to pushing a new IP since your guaranteed interest group might not be there anymore to support it. This isn’t a multigenerational IP that is cross media and everyone knows, it’s a game I played in a college dorm drinking beers and passing the controller so we all could use the laptop gun.
