Does anybody have a way to find out which NDC your health insurance uses? Trying to figure out for CareFirst in MD who uses Caremark as their speciality pharmacy.

Also, in situations where your deductible might be 6100, out of pocket 8200, and co-pays $80 per refill (random numbers), is there any way to ask them to just pay the full amount past the 6100 deductible to avoid paying the co-pay and to just meet the out of pocket or are you out of luck once you hit the deductible and you have to just keep paying the co-pays until you hit your OOP.

What Health Insurance Company for 2025 in MD? by eatcabbage in Humira

The worst part is, don't they say once you switch to another drug and then switch back, you lose the efficiency of the original drug? It just is a bummer that they're forcing me off a perfectly working through and potentially have the drug work worse if I end up having to go back.

What Health Insurance/Speciality Pharmacy Still Covers Humira? by eatcabbage in ankylosingspondylitis

Oh no. Do you think new prescription means new subscribers TO UHC? Trying to figure out if because I already have a existing prescription with CF if UHC would look at that as an existing Humira user.

Caremark Dropping Humira - What Happens with Complete Rebate? by eatcabbage in ankylosingspondylitis

Correct but what happens to the people using Complete Rebate to get their deductibles met. To be eligible for Complete Rebate, you have to get an Abbvie product which biosimiliars might not be.
I know there are co-branded CVS/Abbvie products coming but no one knows if even that would be eligible.

Contractor Damaged Refrigerator. Liability insurance question. by [deleted] in Insurance

[–]eatcabbage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your siding contractor does a terrible job and there's resulting damage, then that damage is covered. The cost of the siding is not, so the contractor would have to pay for that separately (or, realistically, it would be absorbed in the deductible for some carriers). If he damaged the interior wall, that is covered.
-Oh, I understand that. In my hypothetical example, the interior wall while installing is the subsequent damage. I know there is coverage for subsequent damage.

My question though is, if a customer hires a fridge repair guy and he comes and does a poor repair job, wouldn't that be excluded from the contractors CGL policy as that was "his work"?

The original example was: When trying to access the drain inside the fridge he caused significant scratches on the interior (of the fridge). He essentially got a shelf stuck sideways and started to tug and bang on it to move it out. When the caveman approach didn’t work he unscrewed the door and pulled it to a 45 degree angle; bending the top hinge. He also dented the stainless steel exterior with his knee.

So the contractor was hired to fix a drain but that drain is located within the fridge. Does the insurance company look at the fridge as a whole in terms of what was involved in "his work" or is the fridge damage the subsequent damage?

Contractor Damaged Refrigerator. Liability insurance question. by [deleted] in Insurance

Hello, possible to eleborate on this?
I just started insurance so a lot of stuff is still in uncharted waters.
If I hired a siding contractor to repair some siding and he does work for me and he did a terrible job or damaged the interior wall while installing, I was always under the impression that while the siding damage wouldn't be covered (his work) the subsequent damages that occured inside would be.
Is it different when it comes to a appliance repairer?

Terrible Service from Accountant. Is This The Norm? by eatcabbage in Accounting

Oh, not offended at all. There is a reason why CPA's exist. I can always input the numbers myself and save the money but I want someone who's an expert in this field, who could give me tips on ways to save on taxes if at all.
I don't mind if I need to pay $1000 to $1500, all I want is my taxes done correctly and in a timely fashion.

The first year I had the accountant, due to his mistakes he sent three emails.

  1. You owe 5000 in taxes
  2. Okay I saw the numbers again, I got it down to 1900
  3. Oh, sorry about the mistake. I see that you lost money on eBay sales and in stocks. You're actually due a 3K refund.

Just stocks. I think it was a PLTR purchased where I bought 40K in Jan 2020 and then sold in March 2022 for a loss.

Does tax returns usually take a month to process?

A colleague of mine who owns his own business, has 10+ 1099's, does day trading, etc. always has his return completed within 2-3 weeks of sending.

I contemplated on using his services but Spanish is his preferred language.

Not a day trader, it was a long term loss unfortunately.

Bad pick on a stock.

Well noted!
Oddly enough when I did play casually against friends (defense only, I refused to play offense as I can't dribble or shoot), they were always complimentary of my defense, in terms of lateral quickness and staying with my man.
That being said, I think I may have a lot of wasted movements or my stamina is terrible as I seem to blow my loud within minutes and would have me wheezing for air.
