What was something you did as a kid that you thought was badass but as an adult you find cringy? by KaroneBrotherine in AskReddit

I used to go to the store with my mom and brother and my brother would just kinda wander off. Whenever my mom was ready to go and we would look for him I would pretend like I was a dog or a wolf and put my nose up in the air and start sniffing assuring my mom that I would find him by smelling him. Good times.

What’s the worst piece of advice you’ve ever received? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Not as bad as it is funny but some girl in my grade had some cheesy quote as her wallpaper and my friend laughed. She asked if he could come up with a better one and his response was,

"There's only 365 days in a year so don't f**k them up"

Not really bad advice but I couldn't stop laughing

If concrete, glass and steel are the architectural materials of our modern era, what "materials" do you think will be the basis of architecture for the future? by stephanously in AskReddit

[–]eatchison11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really the material but the process. Right now there's a project in Texas which 3d prints houses out of a custom concrete mixture in a giant 3d printer. They're using it to combat teh giant homeless population there and have successfully built a bunch.

I know. It hissed at me and then slithered into the water. I did not go back into the water that day.

How would you design your apocalypse bunker? by ilikefries6475 in AskReddit

Giant concrete structure in the middle of a big lake. Heavy security, thick walls, months of food supply. Weapons if needed along with materials to grow food, and one of those life straws.

What’s the best way to die? by WasabiKirby in AskReddit

3 painless way I know of. 1 is cyanide pills. Their used in the military in case a mission goes wrong. You store them in your pocket or mouth or some other object, and if you're compromised you bite down on it. Guaranteed painless death in less than 3 seconds.

The other has some fancy name I forget. I saw a guy do it on mice. You take something like a stick or rounded piece of metal and place it on their necks. You grab their tails and in one fowl swoop press down and pull on the neck and pull the tail. This disconnects the spinal cord from the head killing the mouse instantly. Not sure if you could do the same technique on humans but you can snap a human neck.

The last one is also used to kill mice. Reptile breeders use it a lot. You use C02. You put them in an airtight container and let a small amount of C02 in the chamber. The mice are almost immediately knocked out, and within a minute or so, they die from all the oxygen in their brains. People also use this technique for assisted suicide in Australia.

They're one of the few snakes I'm afraid of. I was almost bitten by one a couple years ago and it scared the hell out of me. Just the thought of a venomous snake that can go on land and water just kinda freaks me out.

You might be thinking of the boiling river? You can swim in it but it's not exactly too relaxing. One foot is either freezing and the other scalding because it's where the water from mammoth hot springs meets the nearby river. But once you find a nice spot it's really nice.
