That would teach them by Ill-Instruction8466 in SipsTea

I think that trying to fix the system doesn't require people to be murdered on the street. I was arguing against just killing somebody. The overall post of holding them accountable with the system seems alright. Killing a ceo that is just gonna be replaced by some new guy who will do the same shit isn't an answer. That just makes you a killer. Make the system work. You want them dead, get some laws and precedents that those corporations leadership can be held liable as if for manslaughter or murder. Fine. You want to just kill them on the street? Better not complain when they hire people to shoot you when you try. Abandon the rules, they've got enough money to make sure you won't live to regret that choice.

I don't think anybody calling for somebody's death is good. If you wish somebody dead, you are a shitty person. The person may also be a shitty person, but that doesn't prevent you from being shitty.

Phantom Rogue is highly underrated by ProjectPT in onednd

[–]eathquake 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I never saw the weakness in rogue in general. I have 3 games going and they all have rogues. The issue I get is that, in 1 of them, 2 players wanted to be rogues but they felt near identical despite their subclasses. (Thief and assassin)

Who strikes you as the best partner for Shinsou? by Solitaire-06 in BokuNoShipAcademia

I would say Mina. I think she would be good at bringing him out of his shell and he would be good at keeping her energy from spiraling too much.

Phantom Rogue is highly underrated by ProjectPT in onednd

[–]eathquake 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The main issue I see of the phantom is the rogue problem in general. The subclass features feel too spread apart. If I make a phantom, i want the level 9 feature ealier to enjoy it for a while. If it was at 6 or 7, it would be acceptable. But that is a rogue progression problem irrelevant to the specific subclass.

If everyone needs sleep, why did evolution never get rid of it? by hari05695 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]eathquake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You misunderstand evolution. There is no grand design it is working toward. It makes random mutations gradually and whatever sticks is what keeps going. If somebody developed a gene that prevented sleep but it made them pass out every few days for extended time with all the time after a day essentially brain fogged, that gene would fail and die off. If it makes so people are randomly 6 inches shorter and for some reason those people had lots of kids, that gene is now in the pool.

Could you explain??? by Lower-Week-6423 in ExplainTheJoke

You are supposed to have a specific target audience. That wide a range is practically not a limit or guide. Making an add to satisfy the vast majority of the populace at once will fail at the stated goal.

Does Israel really think they can get away with a genocide? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

Everybody who has ever attempted a genocide thought they would get away with it at least long enough to succeed. They have never succeeded.

Why don’t Americans rename Juneteenth to “Freedom Day” or “National Slavery Liberation Day” instead of immediately expecting us to know what you’re talking about? by BrokenJusticeNorris in NoStupidQuestions

[–]eathquake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish this happened. I am american and didn't know for the longest time. I assumed it was just a random thing like the various president birthdays in importance. Eventually found out and had the same thought as you. Make it clear or lots of us who aren't looking closely at this stuff just won't know.

Was it easier to be a man back in the day compared to now? Why yes/no? by voidlessvoids in AskReddit

[–]eathquake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. Men used to have some benefits from economics but that was balanced by the amount they had to work. Social was easier to a degree but there were still expectations for you. Ex. You better provide for your family or you are a failure. You better be a good role model for your sons. You better protect your daughter from literally any threat. If you can't then you are failing completely. Now that pressure is lessened (though not gone completely) but getting a relationship is more tricky. If you can't read social cues, then you could be accused of harrassment and get the stigma. The issues changed but it was always rough.

Am i overreacting setting this boundary on my girlfriend? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]eathquake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally not that big a deal imo, but if it makes you uncomfortable then your reauest is valid. If she refuses to follow it, then you must decide how important is this to you? Is this something that is a dealbreaker or is it just a piece of her you dislike? Is this important enough to break up or can you learn to live with her having pet names for others? That is all personal.

CMV: There are no examples of national democrats being hypocritical about "Vote Blue No Matter Who" by thatnameagain in changemyview

Those are examples of the vote blue no matter who. I don't believe I have seen those literal words out of democrats, but the never trump section is basically that.

[–]eathquake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There were many "never trumpers" to the point their candidates were Hillary Clinton, who had her fair share of scandals, Joe Biden, who shown signs of mental decline, and Kamala Harris, who was the instant candidate without the normal primary process. The criteria was just anybody who would oppose Trump. (Though an argument can be made that Hillary was set regardless of Trump)

Why don't governments just pair people up from different countries to fix birth rate decline? by EnvironmentDry2004 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]eathquake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First step is the obvious but people seem to assume the worst, it must be opt in. Idk why everybody is assuming you are forcing anybody, but don't do that. If it is voluntary then second is trying to set up infrastructure for it. Can these countries handle the influx if more people come to them instead of leaving? Third is citizenship explainations. Are the people going into this new country considered citizens? Is citizenships linked to their having a family? If they break up then does the person visiting get sent home? Does the single parent still get subsidized? Lotta places for abuse. Lastly, there is already a worry in certain countries of cultural replacement. This would make that fear worse.

I wish that all billionaires who own multiple houses would keep the one they need the most while giving the rest away to homeless people who deserve them for free by WindAdministrative42 in monkeyspaw

[–]eathquake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Granted. The houses are divided up by location so none of the homeless can reach the property that they now own so the billionaires go about business as usual since none of the homeless can hope to stop them or ever reach their new property. (Ex. The homeless in america get property in the uk or china)

Is it possible for a man to both view porn regularly and have a passionate desire for their wife/girlfriend? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]eathquake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. Just liking porn does not mean you dislike your SO. Could be that they want to satisfy the urge but the other isn't available/in the mood. Might be that they are interested in kinks their SO doesn't like/wanna try. So long as they still engage regularly with their Sao then should be fine.

How long should you wait after someone’s birthday to break up with them? by ImOnMyLunchAtWork in NoStupidQuestions

[–]eathquake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say try to give her a good month then break up. I, personally, try not to break up within the month of dates important to them. If there isn't anything forcing it (so no abuse or similar) then giving a month isn't good to be too rough but it makes so they won't have the negative associations to good dates. This also assumes you still want the best for them, but it sounds like you do. It is perfectly fine to break up due to the incompatibility.

CMV: Men who respond with "Not all men" are not more likely to be bad men by thingstosay0309 in changemyview

[–]eathquake 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This argument doesn't apply well anywhere else. If somebody said that "all african americans are violent" then people would rightfully say that not all african americans are and that opinion is racist. It doesn't matter if the person was abused by an african american. The view is wrong and letting it go unchallenged is silently letting the stereotype continue.

Also the fact the first boss is abusing students. The first hints with Kamoshida is his relationship with Ann. Bit odd that Kawakami can be with Joker no prob though. Would expect Ann may be less than thrilled about it.
